Islam wasn't in Greece or Rome. Babylon or Pharaonic Egypt didn't exist by the time of Islam. Their influence (and Persian) on Greece was preserved by Islam's efforts to have texts translated.

The topic has nothing to do with the nature of Islam.

Most of those - but maybe not 'climate change' - that furphy.

The cunning First Colonisers there did it... their amazing skill in everything truly matches that of the Abo... look - let's just get it right - they got by with what they had - same as the Abo - and didn't have all the answers by any means - like the Abo and his space exploration etc - they tried irrigation and such and it didn't work ... same as over-irrigating along the Murray-Darling doesn't work due to salinity rising. Remember that one bloke cunningly pumped groundwater out to lower it below the saline level again, and put it into Middle Earth lobster farms far from the coast... made a motza. Saltbush used to suck up the salt........ so they tore it out...... HELLO! Cane Toading...

But the answer sure ain't there yet... and it never will be under the mish-mash of profiteering by government and individuals reaping unearned benefit from 'auctions' over 'water use rights' that give unearned benefit to profiteers while creating over-used sections of the Murray-Darling alongside arid zones left dry by government diktat, and in NO way do anything for the rising salinity problems, just shuffle it all around.

A few good floods will sort out a lot of the salinity................ so forget flood mitigation... let the rivers flow!!! Leave it to me - I'd open the mouth and let the rivers run the way they should.... not just let it bank up....
