Good one, and when can we expect an apology to the descendants of all the convicts, especially the Irish ones who were subjected to racial, political and religious discrimination and persecution?

Their problem.  Victoria is now one huge insane asylum.

Aborigines should apologise to all Australians for their North Sentinelese island-like racist isolationism and Invasion Day protests when there was no invasion because 79% died from disease not warfare. They should apologise for their own failures, just like the Maori did.

The APY lands of the Pitjantjatjara and neighbouring tribes have become fenced off Aborigines ONLY lands. The once productive Opal mining town has been totally removed by taxpayer money in the millions, the populace is 40% unemployed now all on Centrelink.
No Whites allowed, except for white money and fundings.

Pure Racism.

The present day descendents Ellen Kelly, mother  of Edward Kelly, would have the same or better justification for an apology as many aboriginals.—-

Yes. Aboriginalism should forgive the British for who they were and what they had to go through to survive in just 2000 years of incredible change, let alone what they still have to go through in the future.
Aboriginalism refuses to acknowledge the histories of other people's that have come here and why. Instead, they just push their own cause of keeping their isolationism against the world as if it doesn't exist.
I'm not going to buy into the Irish v English stuff here, because that's just old world and it should stay there. The Irish are not privy to the Convict angle. Many English, were convicts too, as were others. Nor were the Convicts just the poor, so it was never about class either.
It was also not just about petty loaf of bread crimes, but murderers and other capital criminals from both rich and poor.
I think the Irish here cry poor and victimhood against English, just like Palestinians do against Israel. It takes two.

Well maybe you should watch Once Were Warriors about Maori who live in the past and the 'bigger men' Maori who, in the end scene, walk into the future.
Same goes for Irish & English here. There are Irish who hold onto the past and praise Ned Kelly, while the Irish futurists know that Kelly was a scumbag and move on away from a criminal past.

Because dan andrews took chinese money and now the entire state needs to hide behind the indigenous land grab and their perceived rights, because they can't pay it back.

That p  ri  c k took 4 billion. on your behalf.

One of them came up to me at some random highway petrol station in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere wanting a lift several hours away....further south

I said.....
sure
I'm going that way, I can give you a lift.

She had tried all the truckies who were just trying to sleep before hitting the road again...
they're all sleeping...she said

no poo...

don't worry about it. I'll give you a lift.

Yeah but I need to get my stuff
she says

what stuff

My stuff at my daughters place her fellah kicked me out

I can't take your stuff too
I can give you a lift I don't have time for your stuff nor do I have the space

hmmm
she thinks for a second
yeah but I need money for the bus when I get there (4 hours away) it's $70 after the lift

I'm not giving you money
I have none to spare
(as it was I got stuck in some slow death town for 3 days because I ran out of fuel money)

do you want a lift or not?

yeah ... but I need to use the toilet inside first

well go on then...I'll be here, but I can not get your stuff and I don't have spare money...i can give you a lift.

off she goes inside.

I put my pet in the car, got in
and drove away.

No thanks.

.

You miss the point, if the Aboriginals of today are owed an apology for the way that their ancestors were treated by the Victorian authorities and others, then so are all the other people who were mistreated.

Just a repetition of apologies that were made & the reparations that have already been paid decades ago.

Another self loathing Labor party & the identity politics that infests it. Justifying their Treaty & Voice BS.

Perhaps so, but that is no reason not to ask him to clarify one of his statements; so, why do you think that the Irish should apologise to Australia, John?
