This is the beginning of the great Albo Ankio china firewall repeculation.

The government can’t control the media anymore since the social media has become the norm.

It was much easier before, they could just pay off the mainstream media for supporting anything they wanted.

As any politician knows ( on both sides) if they can’t control the narrative they are gone ( likely to jail).

With all the fault and failures this initial attempt at controlling the media ,more and more government control will come.
The government on both sides are desperate to control what we read and know.

It’s absolutely nothing to do about bullying.

That’s just the front to allow them to introduce very slowly all future generations to be controlled and conditioned by the government so eventually absolutely no freedom of speech will be allowed unless the government approves of it.

It’s all about the government gaining control over the narrative after the main stream media became completely irrelevant and social media took over.

Doesn't work. There mates will show them what you don't want them to see anyway. My kids had no phones, no internet access. Only now that he's turned 16 is my oldest allowed a phone and I've got them internet at home.

What is your point? That it is pointless?

It doesn't work, but every little bit helps, so good on the government for doing it?

We pay this esafety Karen $450K a year.

She has lost just about every court case against Elon costing taxpayers millions.

Abolish the whole esafety censorship nonsense and save taxpayers millions every year.

Social Media has Terms of Service that are adequate we don't need this expensive bullshit that is a waste of taxpayers money.

Yes, the government is wasting our money and our time getting involved in something they never should have. They are directly attacking our privacy, helping big, data-hungry tech companies gather even more information on us.

Anthony Albanese Would ‘Ban Social Media’ if Made Dictator

Kurt Mahlburg
16 August 2023

Freedom
4.2 MINS

The PM was speaking hypothetically, but was his idea to ‘ban social media’ a Freudian slip?

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese would “ban social media” if he was made dictator for five years, he confessed in a radio interview this week.

The PM made the candid admission on Monday, in a long-form conversation with Neil Mitchell on Radio 3AW Melbourne.

The hour-long Neil Mitchell Asks Why dialogue opened with the host asking a humorous ice breaker: “You are dictator for five years. What do you do? What’s your first act?”

After laughing, Mr Albanese clarified, “I’m not a supporter of dictatorship.” He then reflected for a moment and replied, “I think the big frustrating thing, if I could do something, maybe ban social media, would be handy.”

So cry about it.

This is seriously true and just occurred.

I have just had my basic life support class and our educator walked out saying “ IM NOT DOING THIS “.

When she asked what emergency phone number you call two members immediately said 911.

As the discussion descended into a debacle the two members defended their position by explaining that they are with Optus and 000 doesn’t work in Australia.

The world is laughing at us not with us!

under-16s in Australia have already found ways around the government's new social media ban, primarily by using parents' details, moving to non-banned apps (like Discord, Lemon8, Yope), or using VPNs, with parents helping and tech companies warning of the challenges, making it a "game of whack-a-mole" for regulators.
