A man has died and another man has been seriously injured after a retaining wall collapsed at a construction site in Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to an industrial site on Boundary St in West End about 8.30am on Tuesday after reports two workers had become trapped after a retaining wall collapsed.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed to NewsWire that one man, aged 45, died at the scene.   Sad

A 45-year-old man has died and another has sustained serious injuries after a retaining wall collapsed at a construction site in Brisbane.

Another man, aged 19, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition following a prolonged extrication, Queensland Ambulance said.

Images from the scene showed a heavy police presence as investigations into the incident get underway.

Police say they are preparing a report for the coroner following “the sudden and non-suspicious death”.

Investigations are ongoing with Queensland Police Service working alongside Workplace Health and Safety.
