The vast majority of ancient texts we have today were preserved by the Byzantines and the monastic scriptoriums. The latter continued from the Irish monks through Carolingian renaissance to the high medieval scholastics.
The Byzantines were the uninterrupted continuation of the Roman empire, they regarded themselves (as did everyone around them) as Romans. Their scholars fled wwith their libraries to the West when the Muslims finally conquered Constantinople in 1453.
The texts available through Arabic transmission are small and peripheral. All of these, in addition, were the translations by Christian, Jewish or Persian scholars, very rarely Muslim Arabs because Arabs rarely if ever learned either Greek or Latin themselves.
No ancient literature, drama, poetry was ever translated into Arabic as they contradict the Koranic world view.

So the eastern Europeans outside Byzantium didn't have their own copies? The western Europeans didn't either and had to travel to Spain to access them. Without Islamic Spain, maybe the west Euros would not have grown as a civilisation.

Aristotle is not culturally significant for his literature, drama and poetry, and almost none of these works by Aristotle have survived... seems those Irish monks weren't into them either - they probably didn't include enough pro-homosexual references, as Plato did... only some of his technical works have survived, which Muslims translated and studied.

Theatre wasn't the achievement in knowledge which got Greece and Rome going as disciplined systems. It was logical process that was their discovery. Islam faded out as a technical civilisation but the Euros ran with it.

Yes, once Christo-religious objections to the pursuit of knowledge were silenced.

You should consider ECT or a frontal lobotomy.

You'd probably have more cognitive thought processes then. Roll Eyes
