It’s not hard to see why Hanson’s stunt has got under progressives’ skin. After all, they must recognise, on some level, that being simultaneously in favour of women’s rights while refusing to criticise any aspect of Islam – including its most ultra-conservative, fundamentalist expressions – requires a 2+2=5 kind of thinking. Cries of ‘racism’ are merely a product of the mental meltdown that occurs when so-called liberals are forced to confront their own cognitive dissonance.

One Nation has appointed a convicted rapist, Sean Black, as its campaign director ahead of the federal election.

A judge said Black showed no remorse for raping and assaulting his former wife when he was jailed in 2018.

"Black raped the woman after she told him to stop physically abusing her in October 2007.

"He also pushed her down the stairs and kicked her. In another incident, he slammed a door on her fingers."

Hanson: “I stand by this man and he won’t be getting sacked. He's a good man”

Tajikistan: Banned the hijab completely in June 2024, along with full-face veils.

Tunisia: Partially banned the burqa in public institutions since 1981, though the ban was partially lifted in 2011.

Kazakhstan: Banned face coverings in public institutions like schools and universities.

Kyrgyzstan: Banned face coverings in public schools and universities.

Cameroon: Banned the burqa in public places.

Chad: Banned the burqa in public places.

Gabon: Banned the burqa in public places.

Senegal: Banned the burqa in public places. ‘’

Why? Can’t be racism; can’t be be being anti Muslim.

Main theory is security, they like to see people’s faces.

I’d like to hear what our Muslim Senators think the reasons are.
