Apparently, you can wear the symbols of Islamic terror in Parliament and escape criticism or censure.

You can threaten to burn Parliament down and escape censure.

But you can’t wear a simple burqa and escape censure.

I never really expected anything else from these progressive weaklings.

My intention was never to offend, but simply to expose their hypocrisy.

And – oh my – was I successful.

I was never going to win that vote in Parliament, but it never mattered.

I’ve won the people.

And apparently you can’t even show a movie trailer in Parliament lampooning these ‘progressives’ because that will ‘offend’ them too.

This isn’t my first rodeo.

Idiot progressives will arbitrarily and selectively take offence at anything, hiding behind their contrived victimhood so they are never forced to debate these issues in a truly open contest of ideas.

They can’t win a debate like that on any issue precious to them, so they will always try to shut it down first.

What is sad is that the very seat of Australian democracy, whose officials should be utterly dedicated to upholding important democratic principles like free speech, do not understand it.

People always fear what they don’t understand, and Parliament has shown it in spades by cancelling our screening at the last minute.

She was using it as a prop in a childish stunt.

Props and stunts aren't permitted in parliament.

Pretty easy rules to follow.

It is incredibly important for people to be able to see the face.

Woman cannot give evidence in a niqab, Australian court rules

Moutia Elzahed, whose husband was convicted of aiding terrorism, is denied request in her damages claim against police

1 December 2016

An Australian judge has declined a request from a Muslim woman to wear a niqab while giving evidence in a damages claim against police where she alleges that officers assaulted her during a raid on her home.

On Tuesday in the New South Wales district court, Judge Audrey Balla ruled on a request from Moutia Elzahed to wear her niqab while giving evidence to the court, in what may by one of the first rulings of its kind in Australia.

[...]

Counsel for the NSW police, Michael Spartalis, said it was their preference that she gave evidence without her face covered.

“Facial expressions is a very important part of giving evidence and, as I understand, it in these courts, in New South Wales at least, my understanding or recollection was that if you are here, you must show your face,” he said.

Jacinta Price wears Australian flag Greens are offended she has to remove it.

Pauline wears Burqa Greens and Leftards are outraged she had to remove it.

idiots claim it's a prop yet nothing is said about dead fish Greens senator Hanson Young brought in of Keffiyehs worn by Green senators.

Lefties say women should be able to choose what they wear yet are outraged when Pauline chose a Burqa and made her the only person in Australia banned from wearing it in Parliament.

Labor DEI hire Payman supports Burqa despite it not being a part of Afghan culture.

If Pauline visited Fatimas homeland she would be forced to wear the Burqa despite not being a muslim.

Massisve hypocrisy from the Left on this.

It was an autocorrect issue.

I have corrected it.

Same issue though.

Hanson attempted to move a private member’s bill to ban the burqa and all full-face coverings, arguing it is vital for national security and women’s rights. When Labor, Liberal and the Greens refused to even debate it, Pauline made a bold point: if Parliament won’t discuss banning the burqa, why do they ban it being worn inside the Senate?
