Lefties. Making a simple thing more complicated than it needs to be, just so they can come across as more sophisticated than they really are.

BOM is a very good example.

bobby,

Its not their own money, that the political class [while in power] are 'dispersing'.

i.e. THEY did not have to work for that money which they are authorising to be spent
[i.e. their own taxes only paid for a very, very small fraction, of the money which they are able to authorise to spend].

Politicians are able to spend    OTHER PEOPLES MONEY,   like it is other peoples money.

The Australian TAXPAYERS MONEY.

Without accountability, for waste.

.

OBSERVATION......
If there was no tender process [re this BOM website 'upgrade'],
then whoever authorised this 'upgrade' could 'reasonably'
HAVE FULL UN-IMPEDED AUTHORITY
to pay how much was demanded by the persons employed.

QUESTION;
Do political party's, in power, ever authorise expenditure [without a proper tender process] ???

Why would anyone [e.g. a politician, or government department head] who was open and 'above board' do that ??

'....THAT'
i.e. Seek out, and conduct business contracts, and facilitate, paying the contractor with Australian Taxpayers money,
yet, without total transparency [regarding 'the costs, for service'] ??

QUESTION;
Have political party's, in Australia, while in power, ever received hidden 'kick back' payments,
from companies or corporations who are 'employed' through the allocation of 'paid work',
work which has been authorised within a government agency or department ?

QUESTION;
Who here........trust our political class [2025], persons who have the legal authority
to disperse our national treasure [including current TAXPAYERS MONEY]
in any way they deem fit ??

.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
- Winston Churchill
           part of.......capitalism is the unequal sharing/distribution of wealth

"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."
- Margaret Thatcher

its just the paretto principle in action.

its a brutal law.

to those who have much even more will be given.

sounds unfair, but its how nature works.

the strongest wolf gets the best cuts of meat.

the best and richest plumber gets all the calls on his mobile.

the successful footballer gets the ball passed to him because of his success.

the successful band get played on the radio much more because of their success.

the guy with all the women has proved himself desirable and has social capital and now all the women want him.

its just how nature is.

try to change it if you want.....

venezuela did.

they tried to share everything equally

russia did in 1919

they tried to share everything equally.

now venezuala has no electricity, no running water, 3 million people have left due to near starvation

the russians started selling childrens body parts for meat in markets.

capitalism and the market and the upward spiral of the superior man is not to be messed with.

we have seen what happens when you fight nature and it is not pretty

p.s.
my apologies again, to bobby.       Wink

The best gig is a Led Zep tribute band.
The guy impersonating Plant gets the chicks.
I saw this at a Hammer of the Gods gig.

I saw 3 Led Zep tribute bans but none of them came near to the real thing.
