The old boy will never come round to "be better". He will never come to any realization of truth, justice, shared humanity or what the Americans like to call the American way, a constitutional republic based on human rights.
The old boy, you see, is a card-carrying Nazi, a full-blown goosestepper. Yes, he'd support a proven kiddie fiddler, but that's the least of our problems. The old boy supports the world's most influential democracy being turned into a dystopian authoritarian kleptocracy.
The old boy has been hiding his Nazism for the past two decades - all through his support for Bush/Cheney, the Project for the New American Century and his push for endless wars. All through the Obama years and his giggles over Obama's feigned Kenyan birth and status as a Muslim. All though the first failed Trump term, the spineless, sycophantic apologism for Russian aggression and the final attempts to coup, for the first time in US history, a presidential election.
If you were ever in any doubt then, the old boy has remained steadfast through the second Trump term and the now blatant calls to overturn democracy, impose a dictatorship and export this to the rest of the Western world, including Canada, Europe and jolly old Oz.
Yes, the old boy hardly wants to stop at America, he wants fascism exported to Australia as well, the country he ever so eagerly flew to, but for which he has displayed nothing but contempt since he came.
The old boy, you see, believes in the supremacy of what he calls white Western
culture, which he holds as having dominion over the world, including the lands of what the old boy calls the despicable
tinted races. He actually contends he has
more right to Australia than Australians because he holds superior values that correlate to his European genes.
That's what all the references to Paki Bastards, Calabrian Dagos and Slovenian Tjurds mean. These are inferior to his so-called northern European - ahem -
culture.According to the old boy, he is not an old school racialist, but a
culturalist. If you ask him about racism, he disagrees with the very premise. He sees the term
racist as so unfair, an accusation merely intended to deny a voice to poor, downtrodden Nazis like himself, who merely want to make the world a better place by excluding Pakis, Dagos and Tjurds.
Whenever we've enquired what the old boy's superior values actually are, he has one of his meltdowns. If you have to ask, we're told, you'll never know. The closest the old boy's come to defining his superior culture is anything that's not
pwogressive, agit-prop propaganda and
despicable, tendentious gwimacing, posturing, pouting and preening.
Superior culture, it would seem, exists solely as an antithetical repulsion to whatever the old boy defines in any given day as being of the
left, or
tinted, or both.
Because the old boy's superior aesthetics are so shapeless, they can be expanded from their once austere protestant restraint to include such extreme expressions of wealth as the kitsch, fake Renoirs, gilded frescos and gold toilets of the Trump penthouse. To be fair to the Nazis, they at least had good taste in uniforms, parades and bondage gear, not the old boy's fuhrer.
Indeed, we can shift ethnically too. While he still blames Islam (for everything), he's now happy to invite the most brutal Muslim regime of the lot into the tent, reconfigure geopolitical plates, splash and launder Saudi cash, provide them with arms and watch their fundamentalist doctrine quietly spread throughout our own region as their power takes hold. He celebrates this while Europe and Canada, custodians of the Western tradition, are tariffed, scolded and excluded, a deliberate strategy to reduce their influence.
As you can see, Sad, not even the old boy's hatred of Muslims will shift him. His lack of values means he's free to follow DL to the very end, and do you know? He will too.
But this begs the inevitable. When DL goes, what do you think he'll do? He's had to forfeit the rule of law, elections, democracy, reason and all reference to any actual facts, truth and logic. He will, as we all know, be led by a kiddie fiddler too, he's all but conceded this. How's he possibly going to feign Superior Culture after this?
No, the old boy will never shift his allegiance, but in the end, where's he going to go?
