We shouldn't be unless obligated by a UN like entity or Commonwealth.
Even then, Taiwan is China, but ruled only by a different political power.

If you listen to RW 'defence' outfits like the ASPI and ASIO, the answer is yes.....

Because China's one-party system is a "threat" to our survival, you see.....

It would look like the Gaza strip dancing around a pole there.
I reckon that hardly any Chinese or even Polynesians would volunteer to help Taiwan. That says a lot there.
