Despite Jabotinsky's revered status in Israel, his legacy has nonetheless divided Israelis and Jews since before the founding of the state.

Zionist leftists and gradualists were fierce critics of Jabotinsky's militant self-defensive Zionism with its ethos of, if not 'might makes right', then 'might forces them to the negotiating table'.

This left-right, liberal vs militant Zionism survives to this day.

Yep, particularly among Polish Jews, many of whom had extensive military training, despite Polish Catholics being more vehement Jew-haters than Germans.

The Holocaust prompted more than greater immigration of European Jews out of Europe; it prompted a tsunami.

The mindset of 'never again' is universal among Israelis and Jews, Zionists and non alike.

It was, and Israel claims that it was, is and always will be the geographical heart of Judaism itself - as promised to them by a deity... and in accordance with the Zionist Jewish statehood project, it must be annexed and purged of 'strangers'.

(Nor is Allah's order to fight the unbelievers). Backing Israel because it's the Holy Land makes sense if supporters are 1) Jewish or 2) dedicated prophetic Christian activists.
