Ley gone within the next month
Nov 16th, 2025 at 12:01pm

I predict that Susan Ley will be gone as liberal leader within the next month. She cannot stay as leader now she's let the nats dictate policy.

She probably will be. This can only be a good thing.

Not for the liberal party. They need city seats to win govt. The move away from net zero will only further alienate traditional liberal voters in the cities and further the move to the teals

The Liberal party at the moment is an irrelevance and will continue to be so as long as it keeps supporting Labor policies like net zero and the Paris accord.  A small start has been made but it's obvious Ley was dragged kicking and screaming into the net zero abandoning. The Libs need a real leader and noticeably different polices to have any chance of regaining government in, realistically, the election after next.

The inner city seats thing is an issue right now but with increased costs of living and housing affordability the Libs may look more attractive in a few years.

Will be a challenge for the Libs to find someone nastier, meaner or more corrupt. You have to wonder how they keep achieving it year after year decade after decade.

The politicians are supposed tro represent their electorates, the libs cannot continue to ignore their electorates and except to win govt. Idiots like you are what has ruined the liberal party. Placing ideology ahead of the electorates wishes. You don't even know what the liberal party stands for anymore. The libs will never look attractive if all they do is the big miners bidding. They've had over a decade to come up with a viable alternative, instead they're on their 22nd policy which like all their others, ignores the science and supports the miners lining their pockets. In 6 to 12 months the libs will change their policy again, to some other ridiculous policy, and no matter how they change it, the only thing guaranteed is that the miners will continue to be funded by liberal party policy whilst their electorate continues to be ignored.

In a way Moron, you are right.
But there is always more than one right answer.
She is also empowering the Nationals towards a stronger NEW Coalition.

Who knows - maybe the Greens will usurp Labor?
A new playing field to begin?
