Giving Tasmanians access to cheap renewable energy?

But isn't hydro supposed to be cheap and renewable? They always include hydro in their renewable graphs. Grin Grin Grin

hows that free market scam working out for you?

So you are saying free is not free. Well done.

Of course, you haven't explained the tip fees when the panels stop working, or their replacement costs.

How cheap it is depends largely on your hydro resources. Tasmania currently has the cheapest power in Australia. If the mainland could do the same, it would. For the most part, we are going with wind and solar.

I never said any different. I said "They already nearly ran the Tasmania dams dry once and you want to try again?"

yes lack of rainfall generally, but the cost is prohibitive as snowy 2 attests.

So why do I have to pay extra to have "Renewable sourced" electricity in the mix with my retailer?

The hounds are now circling Susssan.  Big miners have bought out the LNP with the War Chest funded by Hancock, Palmer, Forrest and the rest.    The LNP are now nothing more than spokespeople for the chosen few.   Dan Tehan virtually touting for the big job this morning.

They shouldn't be so ... "Hastie"  Grin

They are almost certain to lose the next 3 elections, so changing leader now would be a stupid move.

Who wants a 3 times loser as PM?

I don’t mind Sussan, I don’t trust any of the others in the mix to be any better.    I hope they give her a chance to settle the waves before they strike.   I feel she is the best choice to take up the battle against Labor next election.   I did hear on the news today that PHON has surged

Yes, the latest polls are showing PHON with a significant Primary vote:

Primary vote numbers:
Labor up four to 38%
, the
Coalition down five to 24%
, the
Greens down two to 9%
and
One Nation up four to 18%   Shocked

What is truly amazing - and very damning of the Libs here and Conservatives in the UK and across Europe - is that they are totally unable to counter soft cock Trot bleeders like Albo.
The Libs, like the Conservatives,  were in office for a long time and achieved absolutely nothing.

Totally useless. The Labor/Green/Teal mindset will destroy Australia, as it has destroyed the UK, Canada, Western Europe and the supposed counter-voice has been nothing but hand-wringing panty-waistes of the worst kind of opportunists.
Matt Keane, ffs, was a treasurer in a 'liberal' government in NSW. The Libs do not stand for anything but focus grouped blather. Even Abbott gave it all away for idiotic bollocks. Howard presided over a massive demographic transformation, started by his boss Frazer, which in the end cost him his seat!
Poetic ****ing justice. No tikky, no seat. Herro? Herro?!
