I could be wrong, but I'm thinking they're doing this so that people like you and Leroy share them with your friends, or copy them and post them on sites like this. Cunning, no?
Not necessarily. I'm also suspecting many of these "people" aren't actually people at all. Again, I could be wrong, but I'm suggesting they could be bots - computer programs that copy articles from CNN, make stuff up, and share them with you and Leroy.

be bots, that's more likely to happen than not.
