So unfair, Bobby. The BBC replayed DL's orders to FIGHT LIKE HELL. They maliciously cut to DL's followers, you know, FIGHTing LIKE HELL.
The BBC declined to issue the perfunctory waiver - now mandatory under federal broadcasting policy - that DL's subjects acted of their own volition and their DL could not be held responsible for their actions.
The BBC had a duty to point this out, Bobby. Jan 6 was, in the correct parlance, every man for himself.
Anyhow, DL became prez, so it all worked out. He pardoned those under his command on Jan 6. DL has even suggested they be suitably compensated by the DOJ (after his own $240 mil is handed over). Those released from jail had their volition restored - particularly those who went on to commit further violent crimes DL could not be held responsible for either.
Now, as a public broadcaster, it is the BBC's responsibility to express this message. The consequences of expressing alternate commentary are severe, as you'd expect. The suffering experienced by DL when he viewed this broadcast is unimaginable. $1 bil hardly accounts for the harm done to DL when he heard his own words replayed by the BBC.
Look, if the BBC wants to continue to broadcast, it seems only fair that DL receives his cut. At the very least, broadcasters have an obligation to run anything about DL past the big fella himself. This, as the British say, would be the decent thing to do.
