Quote:Why do you think taking advantage of people by paying them less than they are entitled denying anyone anything?
You deny them the right to choose for themselves.
How arrogant do you have to be to tell someone, oh no we won't let you earn any money, you have to be jobless to prevent people "taking advantage" of you, and good luck getting the experience everyone tells you you need to get a job.
The economic reality is that if you force people to be jobless rather than accept a lower rate of pay, you are creating unemployment, and no amount of spin and bluster from the unions can change that reality. Maybe we could give the unions some credit if they were at least honest about the tradeoffs, but it is hard to when all they do is lie. Luckily people have figured out for themselves that the end result of handing over their hard earned money to the unions year after year may be a trip to centrelink when the unions make your position unviable. Which is why the more people find out for themselves, the fewer join unions.
Utter bullshyte.
What is the problem of trying to improve the working conditions/pay rates of individuals who should be paid adult rates of pay because they are legally adults??????
They aren't juniors.... why should they be on junior pay rates?
I think the height of arrogance is people like you who think that it's reasonable.
Why do you think they should be accepting a lower wage just to keep a job because they work for someone who has been taking advantage of an outdated Junior wages system?
What rates were you paid when you were 18?
When did you consider you were an adult?
