Now I'm a NAZI.

I see the move as the exact opposite. Someone like Menzies would be horrified by how far right the right have moved. Keating moved Labor substantially right with things like The accord which stagnated wages controlled unions and both allowed the following Howard government to absolutel nuter Unions and led to a 50 year wage stagnation to the benifit of the corporat big business sector. Keatings privatisation really started the rot in this area. Selling out Australian owned assets to the benifit of big business friends at bargain basmant prices.

Keating moved Australia substantially to the right he left the right no option other than to go even further to the right. We have seen several decades of right policy that even people like Menzies would have seen as extreeme. While at the time Menzies was seen as substantually to the political right the fact is that he was likely left of Keating. Virtually nobody in the current Labor party is a politician of the left they seem to span from moderate right to centre right.

Arrant nonsense. Again.

What is an 'extreme right' policy in Australia?

Not going along with every nutty as squirelshite pwogwessive madness.

The  extreme right' LibNats are dying because they are no alternative to Labor. Same in Britain, the Cknservatives, in office for 12 years, proved to be indistinguishable from Labour.
Same in the US, Germany, Holland, France.

The mongs are calling common sense 'extreme right'.

You should tell K that, he can't help calling people NAZIs.

Do you think he means it in all cases ? I don't. Besides it is somewhat difficult to differentiate between the Authoritarians and the Nazi's.

The bottom line is that there are way too many doing Nazi salutes, displaying Nazi flags and support Nazi's openly. Even the Pres has a family history of KKK and has called white nationalists good people. We had a Nazi salute at Trumps inaguration and a Nazi flag in a Rethuglican political office. Its not like they are hiding it and it isn't like their supporters are not on board. We all thought it was dead but apparently not so much.

I think it is more K pulling your chain, Don't think anyone believes you are a Nazi. Maybe you support some who are though, maybe not.

Nah.
K is pulling himself.

He's right, Dnarever. K is most certainly not pulling his chain.

The old boy's not some erstwhile constitutional conservative in the tradition of Edmund Bourke.

He's not a small-government Thatcherite in the tradition of Hayek and Milton Friedman.

And he's stopped being an American neoconservative imperialist. Even Francis Fukuyama gave up on that one. The old boy was only ever in for the carpetbombing.

No, the old boy is a cunning old Nazi in the tradition of one A Hitler. There's no chain-pulling going on here, he just is. It's taken him twenty years to finally come out with it, but do you know?

We knew it all along. The old boy, Baron, Leroy, Aquascoot and Bobby - them too. They all want an authoritarian takeover. They all want the outsiders targeted, the "enemy within". They all want the tinted races obliterated.

DL could set up actual death camps and they'd praise him for it. These types are true believers. They have no red lines whatsoever. They'll stop at nothing - literally anything goes. Nationalism, socialism, ethnic cleansing, authoritarianism, the lot.

That's a Nazi. If you have another word for it, do feel free to chime in.

And there you have it. The old boy is disgruntled with the process of responsible government.

Mind you, he's so poisoned with ideology, he can't see the writing on the wall for Australian conservatives: the popular consensus for climate policy and the democratic rise of Teal independents taking down the LibNats.

What the old boy means by "right" is a der Fuhrer burning down the Reichstag.

We don't call these people conservatives, dear. We call them by their proper name.

Trump derangement syndrome
Fareed Zakaria defined the term as "hatred of President Trump so intense that it impairs people's judgment"

Lets check in at 5pm on 23rd July 2025 then at 5pm on 30th July

What is an 'extreme right' policy in Australia?

Morrison's stage 3 tax cuts, driven by  the infamous RW 'trickle down' theory.

Labor altered them to benefit lower-income taxpayers.

And Keating was indeed infected by the Thatcher-Reagan-Friedman  Neoclassical 'small government' ideology, which began the move to the Right in Oz, whereas Menzies led a postwar Keynesian deficit spending
government, enabling him to support both public and private sector housing, unlike post 1980s labor governments.

You mean - like the Paris agreement?

Quote:

Same in the US, Germany, Holland, France.

Yes, the 'centre' Labor-Coalition offering (aka 'tweedle dee-tweedle dum') - is no longer the 'sensible centre',  because the working class are rejecting the current 'austerity' amid the cost of living crisis. Hence the desperate  search for alternatives.

Said desperation resulting in Trump in the US ...stay tuned for the outcome, in the midterns.

I'll pass on that:

"it's the economy, stupid".

Alas, dear boy, it's laughable silly Paki nonsense that will keep the Libs in opposition for a generation.

That doesn't make us too happy either. We want some form of choice. That's what living in a democracy is all about.

It's fun to go visit House of Reps. There, you see the Libs chucking tantrums over God knows what. You can't hear much of it.

But right in the middle sit the Teal independents: quiet, thoughtful, respectful in their questions. True problem-solvers.

If you head next door to the Senate, you get to hear people like your poetess Pauline and Malcolm Roberts moaning about 5G, wind farms causing cancer, women in headscarves or whatever else their  lobbyists pay them to promote. God knows who they're representing, but they're the hoax party. Despite existing solely to grab attention, nobody listens to them. They'll have Barnaby Joyce to help them get ignored soon.

Your dream of a fascist regime in Australia has got Buckley's, dear boy. We're centrists. If you don't like it, you know exactly where you can go.

The Teals are the Doctors' Wives Party (or the millionaire climate activists' wives party)

They have solved nothing, have been thoughtful about nothing. They are the vanity party for the affluent/effluents in fragrant designer apparel, funded by a designer climate activist. Porche SUV wives.

The Doctor's Wives used to be Libs, dear - when they weren't joining Green Bans or saving native forests in Tasmania. They've taken key Lib seats, previously unthinkable to lose Wentworth and Kooyong.

This is a long term political shift. The Libs can't replace the Doctors' Wives with Nazis like you, dear. You people are a serious minority, it's never going to happen. The Nats are hardly raging either.

People now want action. We want a low carbon economy fueled by wind and solar. We want small business to thrive. We want nice clean air with lots of natural space. We want cheaper housing. We want to improve the lives of our Boongs. We want an inclusive, egalitarian society with opportunities for all.

Your silly culture wars are a thing of the past. All they ever were was a distraction by the fossil fuel lobbyists anyway. Sky News and rags like the Australian, all old media.

Last election you could feel Dutton lose his power. It was visceral, almost as if his breath left his body and he deflated before our very eyes.

Jacinta Nampijinpa Price couldn't have read the mood worse - make Australia great again?

Aussies detest Trump. The private jets, the gold toilets, the elitism and authoritarianism. Your DL stands against everything we hold dear.

The Teals are on the up and up. At 22%, the Greens are holding steady as a third-party. Your form of politics only exists in your head. A political transformation has happened right under our noses, and it's the exact opposite of all that you stand for - hatred, social division, colonialism and slavery ending far too soon.

Ever get the feeling you've been farmed?
