Republicans in Texas just screwed up when they redrew the electoral maps to give themselves five new seats at the midterms. What they didn't realise, until it was too late, was that in doing so they have made ten existing seats suddenly very much contested when they previously were not. This is a direct result of them redrawing the electoral maps at Trump's behest. Add to this the tit for tat changes in California by Gavin Newsom and growing anger over everything from ICE to grocery and health insurance price rises, and suddenly it's looking very much like Republicans are in deep, deep trouble when the midterms come around next year. I think it's very possible now that the Republicans could lose both the House and Senate, but very likely they will lose at least one of them. That will severely hobble Trump and his ability to do whatever the hell he wants.

Like he ain't hobbled enough already, eh?
He isn't hobbled at all right now because too many Republicans are scared of him. Republicans (meaning Trump) control the House, the Senate and the White House. If the Democrats can take back the House, Trump becomes a lame duck President for the remainder of his term.
Democrats would have the power to block him from carrying out his destructive and self-serving agenda, and could subpoena and investigate members of his administration. It would be a major disaster for Trump.
They can't physically stop him.
He just ignores the Constitution and all other laws.
The only way he can be stopped from murdering people in international waters, tearing down the White House, arresting innocent people off the street,
etc. is if someone physically restrains him.
That's not going to happen.
Even if the Dems win back both houses, very little will change.
Sure, they'll impeach him again, but that won't stop him.
