That's great. Any chance of "Albo" staying there permanently?

So, does that mean we're going to see the major issues of homelessness, increasing cost of living, rents, house prices and mortgages, etc. in Australia solved in the not too distant future?

Or, does it just mean the rich (including "Mr. Selfie" himself) will continue to get richer while the average Aussie continues to struggle?

I'll lock in the second one.

Even the USA has plenty of rare earths - the problem is trying to extract them in an economical way – not an easy task - and to do it without causing environmental destruction. Do we even have the technology? - we don't have the extraction plants - it could take 5 years or more to build them.

I don't see Albo as strong, because he has shown time and time again that he isn't.

Just like everything else Australia exports, not much will come back to the taxpayer. The Hancocks, Forests and all the other Miners will grab most of the profits with a pittance flowing back. Same as our Gas, Coal and other natural elements that we are overflowing with.

Now, if we had a decent Mining Resource Rental Tax in place….oh wait..
