It's not about kids -
it's about getting the real names and addresses of adults who post on forums
then going after them with the thought police.
It's about shutting down free speech.

Also – how could your online real name and address ever be safe?

Well, greggery peccary isn't my real name, obviously   Roll Eyes

It's Peter Peccary.

I think you are correct.

We are indirectly already there -
just look at how strict moderation is on most forums?
Whirlpool is unbelievable.

I can only speculate that forum owners are frightened
of Govt. action about certain posts?

I'm hoping t scare you here over AI and the level to which our private information is shared around....

I had occasion to replace my cashcard - someone had a shot at it and the bank sent me a new one.... in upgrading the card number on a site I use.............. the new card number autofilled... the only bits missing were the date of expiry and the CVC.... I kid you not...

The ATO already autofills for me  - but this is a whole new ball game when a private site can have access to such sensitive information without my approval.

I am warning you all....... governments are incapable of controlling the internet as it now is... sites are essentially a law unto themselves and are relied on to 'self-police'* ...once AI gets into full swing and all this guff becomes available to anyone the government sells it to or to anyone who can hack the government files... or government itself - in its usual style here - uses it for purposes it was not supposed to be used for...........  trouble is brewing big time.

Youtube cut me off for posting publicly available pictures of fights between ethnic groups and posting that this was a bad thing for our country... that was in their peak 'woke' period - but even with Trump grabbing them all by the pussy, they won't put me back on to produce my humorous little videos.   Absolute tyrants and wowsers wth frankly childish views of themselves and the world... nothing uncommon these days - the Day of The Dorks.

You just figured out the government is on a mission to control all forms of free speech in this country?

Not to mention shutting down freedom to information laws!

I for welcome the new Chinese inspired firewalls and pledge my allegiance to Albo and Labor in fear my bank account will be confiscated and my employment terminated if I don’t.

It’s coming….it’s getting closer….once they get rid off cash.

They will control everything 😞

“ In short:
The Albanese government has introduced legislation to overhaul freedom of information laws by allowing blanket refusals for requests that would take more than 40 hours to action.
The proposal would also expand the definition of cabinet documents and 'deliberative' material, both of which can be excluded from FOI requests.
What's next?
The bill will be sent to a committee process, with the Greens and the Coalition initially sceptical.”

Just trust our politicians!

Would they lie or ever, ever hide anything from you?

Time to pause to consider exactly why the 'opposition' is carrying on in such an inefficient manner - they want that control exactly like Albo's crop do... but they don't want to be blamed for it.

Any reasoning person looking at this from the outside can only assume these people are all insane.  What earthly benefit is there from having that kind of control over the people of this country?  It will only make us ripe for invasion .. we're AUSTRALIANS - we thrive on being fiercely independent and also working as a good team when we want.

The social media ban for kids is how the government will push digital ID for adults to be on social media.
Green senator asked this question in senate the reply was everyone will have to prove their age.

It has nothing to do with protecting kids.

Since when is a government bureaucrat better placed than me to take care of my children?

What aspect of life is still the responsibility of each of us, rather than the gift of government?

Considering the amount of smut, sleaze and programs promoting violet behaviours against competitors over dinner tables and more - all on Television of the Left Media narrative.
Should there be restrictions and bans imposed on children who are able to watch these for free?

Double-standards?

As I've said before - the big 'test' will come on the first day of the 2026 school year.

It will be interesting to see how many school children still have their faces glued to their phones while they're crowded around waiting for buses and trains to take them to and from school each day.

My prediction is - the majority of them will still be doing it just like we see today before the so called ban comes into effect.

you know that they still have lots to look at, and can chat to each other, without social media
