Graps, the War Office and Myself have found ourselves running a scheme that aims to call and visit - at least twice a month - Senior Citizens in our area.     We have over 1000 people on our little access database that use the service as well as the 2 or 3 free afternoon teas a year.  At 74 and 68 respectively, we are younguns in the age area!   This small service requires money to be spent - there are insurance costs to cover volunteers, flyers and pamphlets to be printed and mailed (most do not even know what an email address is or prefer to read it on paper) afternoon teas to be catered, served and cleaned up after.    There are a stack of other expenses and we do not get a red cent from anyone.    4 times a year, we sell bangas at Bunnings, collect cans for 10c return money and scrap around seeing if we can a service or donation to help us.

Perhaps this group should do the same.
