Voters understand that politicians are going to act in their own self interest.
Voters would behave similarly.
Voters want what's best for themselves and their families.
So they aren't really offended by Trump.

He owns his position.

What voters WONT tolerate is the hypocrisy of most politicians.
Importing Sudanese murderers and then living in gated communities.
Importing so many migrants a commute takes 2 hours and then living in Canberra with a limo drive of 5 minutes to work

Having indexed super for life and then expecting Aussies to scrimp and grind for decades.

Having a husband like Paul pelosi earn 250 million on the stock market with inside trades.

It's refreshingly authentic and people think

Trump's recent lectures to the UN on the stupidity of open borders and the stupidity of sending fossil fuels to India and China to be burnt resonate with the public.

In suburbia as they sit in migrant filled traffic and pay thru the roof for electricity they see Trump as the only guy speaking common sense.

Illustrative cases include the 2015 Charleston church shooting, when white supremacist Dylann Roof killed nine Black parishioners; the 2018 Tree of Life synagogue attack in Pittsburgh, where 11 worshippers were murdered; the 2019 El Paso Walmart massacre, in which an anti-immigrant gunman killed 23 people. The 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, an earlier but still notable example, killed 168 in the deadliest domestic terrorist attack in U.S. history.

By contrast, left-wing extremist incidents, including those tied to anarchist or environmental movements, have made up about 10% to 15% of incidents and less than 5% of fatalities.

The troubles that occurred after the death of George Floyd were spontaneous race riots, the kind that occur in Amerika after black killings - Martin Luther King and Rodney King included.

Riots, you see, are the swell of a people without class consciousness. The BLM movement channelled that anger peacefully. You should be thanking them.

I'm sure they had a BLM protest close to you, dear. Did you attend?

With flags flying from the back as Sanford drove it through town, “you couldn’t miss the truck,” Allen said. Sometimes, he said, Sanford would “switch one of his flags out for a ‘bugger Biden’ flag.”

A Google Street View photo from June 2025 shows a “Trump Vance” campaign sign on his home’s fence, and a social media photo from 2019 showed Sanford wearing a Trump shirt.
