Kimmel getting canceled was because -- without regard to the FCC -- Disney told Kimmel he needed to apologise on Wednesday night's show, and he refused.

Then Disney execs got info that Kimmel was going to double down and blast them in his Wednesday night monologue.

THAT was the breaking.

His show was a money loser and Disney/ABC decided they weren't going to allow him on the air Wed night.

With the affiliate backlash, cancelling was the only -- and best financial option.

Kimmel was cancelled for the same reason that Colbert got cancelled. They got cancelled for the same reason Associated Press was removed from the White House Press Pool. Fallon is on the naughty list as well for the same reason. It's quite simple, really. Trump. He is incapable of handling negative media coverage or that which does not toe his twisted ultra right-wing line. This is blatant media censorship by Trump. There is literally no other way to put it because it is the unfortunate truth.

No, but it's easier to toss out that line than to acknowledge the longer, more accurate version. During his opening monologue, while framing current events around Trump, MAGA, and the nation's response to the shifting circumstances surrounding the shooting of Charlie Kirk, he accurately summarised what had transpired. He didn't editorialise, he didn't make light of it, he simply laid out events as they stood, many of which were hardly flattering to the President.

Or, aka, he accurately reported for short.

The son "leaning more to the left" could mean that he accepted the result of the 2020 election, didn't think it was rigged, or wasn't fearful of black people taking his job after entering the workforce and gaining employment.

He could still be a conservative, he's just to the left of his parents.

That doesn't mean he's a radical leftist.

After all, he assassinated someone. That's a trait of the far right, no matter how much the DOJ wants to remove the evidence of that from their website.

People assume that this is synonymous with being politically left. There are plenty of Gays on the right who hold this position. It is quite possible or maybe even probable that his general politics are to the right. we just don't know.

What he do know is that he isn't politically registered and he didn't vote at all in recent elections. He didn't vote Biden Harris or Trump.
