Well said, Mr President.

People like Gordy and Baronvonrort should watch that video but they won't because they only have the attention span required for TikTok videos, which they mistakenly call "news".

Charlie Kirk really was a horrible little man.

He certainly didn't deserve to be murdered by a radical,  white, Christian, MAGA Republican though.

Wow, So Obama only looked at the truncated Kirk videos. He didn't say that Civil Rights Act shouldn't have been passed. He said it was a "noble" thing, but that it hadn't been worded correctly so it came to mean more than it should. It needs to be tightened.

Always lies on top of lies. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Of course you can refute the tiktok videos? Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

So where did I say different? Now all you have to do is refute the lie that he said the Civil Rights Act should not have been passed. Perhaps you meant it shouldn't have been passed in its current form? A different thing again. Grin Grin Grin

Is that all?

Turning Point USA CEO and co-founder Charlie Kirk once said, "We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s."

Kirk made the statement while speaking at America Fest, a political convention organized by Turning Point USA, in December 2023. Turton provided an audio recording to Snopes, which verified that Kirk said the quote about the Civil Rights Act.

Charlie said the act was an "anti-white weapon". He went on to call Martin Luther King an "awful" person.

Now, feel free to change the subject and post your chuckles.

Even if he was - what does that have to do with attempting to pervert his skills in debating the half-educated into 'hate' and then killing him?  And I doubt he was anywhere near as 'bad' as some of you try to make out from your hazy ideological stand unburdened by reality.

The kid was a poof living with a trannie, he had abandoned his religion, he clearly had mental weaknesses, and he was nowhere near a MAGA supporter.  Oh - he was white?  How unusual in predominantly white America.

You're right - he wasn't as bad as some people make out. He was much the same as the MAGA cultists on January 6 who called for Mike Pence (Vice President at the time) to be hanged. Lets not forget that Kirk himself called for Biden to be given the death penalty for some imagined crimes against America. Trump told his cult members to "fight, fight, fight" which lead directly to the January 6 attempted coup. It is infuriating to see morons like Elon Musk try to claim the moral high ground by wrongly proclaiming that the left-wing of American politics is the violent one. They aren't the ones bombing and shooting up abortion clinics, it is right-wing extremists who are encouraged by state Republican bans on abortions - including those involving rape and/or incest.

When alive, Charlie Kirk was a know-nothing...

In death, he personifies the ghost of the pre-60s

His argument that the Civil Rights Act was a mistake is not only wrong and unjustifiable, it's gravely wrong, as President Johnson would have put it.

The last words on the Civil Rights Act and the right to vote for African Americans should go to Johnson himself, and to indicate what life was like for African Americans before it, to George Wallace.

“There is no constitutional issue here. The command of the Constitution is plain. There is no moral issue. It is wrong—deadly wrong—to deny any of your fellow Americans the right to vote in this country. There is no issue of States’ rights or national rights. There is only the struggle for human rights.” - President Johnson, March 13, 1965.

“I tried to talk about good roads and good schools and all these things that have been part of my career, and nobody listened. And then I began talking about ni***rs, and they stomped the floor [in approval].” George Wallace.

Have you been living under a rock for the last few days?

Nobody is excusing the murder.

The murder was senseless, vile and totally indefensible.

Charlie Kirk was a horrible, horrible little man, but he did not deserve to be murdered by a right-wing, MAGA Christian gun-nut.

How many times must we say this?

he had abandoned his religion,

That's rich coming from an Australian... the most secular people in the world.

You're a bit of a church-going god-botherer, then?

Not only not unusual, it describes almost 100% of the perpetrators.

White, young, male... Almost all mass murderers, serial killers, political assassins and high-profile personality killers come from this demographic... way higher than their demographic representation.

America breeds them like flies.

Not at all - me mither were a Catlic, my father an Anglican .. one set of his great-grandparents were Jewish... I'm beyond any redemption.

I liked the turn of phrase and its condemnation of a dork who fell from grace into the gutters of social life and thought he was doing right  .... will he find god at the last moment when the switch is thrown or the auto needles is plunged or the firing squad gets the go-ahead?

so why are you bothering so much to find blame in the victim - and his family etc?

You don't have to say it at all - it is a worthless comment with absolute zero meaning to anyone, including you - as you admit.  You've been hanging around the likes of some here for too long - they've infected your mind...
