Isn’t that already happening, a lot of his public contents are being removed so as to make him look like a saint?
Why do that? Is there shame?
Next he will be canonised as Saint Charlie, and an annual public holiday for the date of his death.
How else are saints made?

The George Floyd incident was damning.

He was killed by police in a completely unnecessary manner, and that was the source of the outrage.

Instead of demanding accountability from the officer responsible, the right rushed to paint it as though Floyd somehow deserved to die.

He was never canonised as a saint, but used as a symbol, not only against police brutality, but against a broader tactic conservatives habitually deploy, smearing and discrediting victims in order to shield institutions and personalities from scrutiny.

And this wasn't mere perception, it was reinforced by the fact Derek Chauvin was convicted of murder and manslaughter.

So you can try to use the same tactics Kirk would, if his pronouns weren't now were/was, and trot out whataboutist comparisons that are neither apt nor honest, but at least aimed at a racial group he despised in service of defending a point being used against him.

You can try, but it won't work.

Let's not forget that he's a scumbag, he was not a hero and we shouldn't immortalize tragedies in bronze.

Yes, there most certainly are.

Why?

Because they prove how much of a racist and generally nasty person he was.

Also, the DOJ has removed a report from their own website which shows that 76% of domestic terrorism in the US is carried out by right-wing groups or individuals.

They pulled that down the day after Kirk was killed.

The US justice department has scrubbed a study from its website concluding that far-right extremists have killed far more Americans than any other domestic terrorist group, just days after a gunman fatally shot the prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The report, now archived, titled What NIJ Research Tells Us About Domestic Terrorism, vanished from the Department of Justice website between 11 and 12 September, according to Jason Paladino, an independent investigative reporter who first wrote the story. Kirk, the 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder and Trump ally, was gunned down while speaking at Utah Valley University on 10 September.

The vanished study opened with: “Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives. In this same period, far-left extremists committed 42 ideologically motivated attacks that took 78 lives.”
