We also know that the Guardian initially reported the shooter was "the only member of his family that was really leftist", only to retract it after admitting it was false.

The New York Post ran with the claim that the shooter lived with a transgender partner, but if you read their own article the headline contradicts itself.

Your side has twisted this nothingburger into: he's trans, he's in a relationship with the shooter, therefore we can hand-wave away the shooter's immersion in gun culture, his far-right Christian upbringing, the Groyper meme etched onto the bullets, and the fact that Groypers themselves declared "war" on Kirk for not being extreme enough, which in your telling somehow makes the shooter a radical leftist.

And let's not gloss over the most galling part. This same man, Lance, is the one who actually helped turn the shooter in.

This is why I said, I'm waiting for the verified reports from actual law enforcement investigating this.

FBI has obtained over 30 search warrants to go after those who posted on social media something big will happen to Charlie tomorrow.

We know what happened how did these people know about it and post it on social media?

Because the alleged shooter turned out to be a white, conservative-raised, gun-worshipping Christian.

Before that was established, when the assumption was that it was some "radical leftist tranny," even the President was foaming at the mouth making threats. You had white supremacists marching around desperate for a confrontation. You had Republican politicians baying for blood, not calling for calm or unity, but openly demanding the death penalty.

And then, whoops. Once it looked like one of their own, they slammed on the brakes:

Suddenly it's all about "prayers for the shooter."

The only saving grace for the US is how little conviction the MAGA crowd actually possesses and how easily they can be manipulated into changing direction on a dime.

But it cuts both ways. If they think the shooter is trans or even adjacent to trans, truth be damned, it will cost the lives of innocent transgender people. Because now, more than ever, they've been emboldened, convinced that trans people are the enemy within.

And that's not coming from the fringes, it's not some half-baked basement extremist movement, it's the official doctrine of MAGA itself, broadcast from the very top, from Trump down.

Given the way you've been speaking about transgender people, it looks very much like you're fine with them being targets too.
