Israel - as a declared and  universally accepted state, has every right to exist, same as Australia or any other country declared and accepted and operating within the requirements for BEING a nation/state.

Gaza does not fit those criteria - Palestine does not exist as such so if anyone 'recognises' it they will have to say where it is etc... there are no Palestinians - the 'government' there is an outlaw terrorist group....

What are all these countries afraid of?  Abdul getting upset and causing trouble?

Now then - who's in favour of a total cessation of Islamic immigration, the return to Homeland of any troublemakers, and clamping down on any violence instead of licking their nuts every time?

in Gaza alone, there are 2 million people.  2 Million people that got displaced from their rightful homeland.  Of course, many of them will take up arms where ever they get driven to in order to get their homeland back.  Such is human nature.   By then attacks against Israel will come from abroad.   Israel will then retaliate .   They will invade where ever the new lands those refugees have settled, and the cycle of violence starts again.  And Israel will then have more reason to expand their territory  in the name of estalishing a safe buffer zone.    No country around Israel would want that.

They were not displaced from their 'rightful homeland' - Jews purchased desert land and turned it into a garden of Eden; when the modern state of Israel - whose former owners those Philistines displaced after the Romans drove the Hebrews out of THEIR Rightful Homeland...... was created by UN Mandate, the then residents were offered three choices - become Israeli, live in what was, at that time the larger portion of ancient Israel that was allocated to them, or move away.

What they chose was the Fourth Way - to attack Israel to try to genocide Jews and destroy the newly recreated state... and they lost.  Their situation is entirely of their own creation.

Two million Arabs decided to become Israeli - and have full and equal rights.  The Gazans chose and continue to choose to fight to overthrow Israel - and they will never succeed.

Further - the Gazan Philistines - a group of Greek origin, BTW - were handed Gaza as their state in 2005 - by Israel.  They immediately set about making war on Israel and persisted up until Israel had no choice - after the brutal murder of 1200 of its citizens and the kidnappings of other on 7/10...than to make war back.

Tough titties for the losers... he who lives by the jihad shall die by the jihad... so it is written.

While you lot whine about Israel like the ill-informed school girls you all are - Syrian Arabs/Philistines have been trying to genocide the Syrian Druze and Christians of all kinds - and Israel has taken steps to protect those communities there as well as chasing the Hamas rats into the ground.

All power to Israel for being the shining beacon of civilisation in that region.

"Israel's right to exist?"

It's the wrong question.

The people who live in Israel all have the right to exist -
that includes Palestinians.

To me - when Bibi destroys all of Gaza he's destroying Israel.

I agree with Bobby.  People  should have the right to exist!

Thanks Tickle.

European Jews began to displace Arabs after WW2, as thousands of European Jews migrated to the British Mandate of Palestine.

When the British attempted to halt the mass migration of European Jews into Palestine, Zionist militants began a campaign of terror against the British, murdering British soldiers and civilians, to drive the British out of the region.

The Zionist cause was (and is) to create a Jewish state and drive out, who ben Gurion termed, 'the strangers' from within the ancient borders of Judea, Galilee and Samaria.

After the establishment of Israel, Jewish Israelis were forced by the UN to accept Arabs as Israeli citizens when, even after Zionist-imposed death marches on Arabs failed to remove all Arabs from the region at the state's establishment date, some Arabs remained within the borders of the newly created Israeli state.

Okay, shining beacon of civilisation.     You know, both Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant have arrest warrants issued against them, for the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare and crime against humanity of murder, persecution and other inhumane acts during the Gaza War.    In addition, the ICJ finds ‘plausible’ genocide in Gaza - which is a very high bar itself to get over.    Even Jews else where in the world, in Europe, in Australia, in USA are condemning Israel war on Gaza.

I firmly believe, historians will judge this part of human history as another chapter of war and blood shed.

Something else about Israel...

Like Palestine, there is no single, universally recognised official map of the state.

Why No Unique Map Exists...

Disputed Borders

Israel was admitted to the UN in 1949 without fixed, internationally recognised borders.

The 1949 Armistice Lines (“Green Line”) became the de facto borders, but Israel itself has never formally declared them permanent.

Territories Under Dispute

West Bank: Administered partly by Israel and partly by the Palestinian Authority; considered occupied by most of the international community.

Gaza Strip: Israel withdrew in 2005, but still controls air/sea borders; Palestinians claim it as part of their future state.

East Jerusalem: Annexed by Israel in 1980, but this is not internationally recognised.

Golan Heights: Captured from Syria in 1967 and annexed in 1981; only recognised by the U.S. and a handful of countries.

Multiple “Official” Maps

Israeli government maps: Often show Jerusalem as the capital and may include the Golan Heights, West Bank settlements, etc., as part of Israel.

UN and most international bodies’ maps: Use the Green Line as the reference, leaving disputed areas uncoloured or marked separately.

Palestinian maps: Typically show the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem as the core of a Palestinian state, sometimes with all of historical Palestine.

Of course.

No state has a right to exist.

If states had a right to exist, then states such as Kurdistan, the Basque, and Catalonia would exist.

Given that you believe states have a right to exist, do you believe Palestine has a right to exist?

Well, by that logic, is there any legitimate state?

Every single state is a result of force. Do you question every state's legitimacy, therefore?

The UN determines that a state exists through its recognition; it does not decree that a state has a right to exist, should exist, or must exist.

There is no law, international or domestic, anywhere that mandates any state's right to exist.

Not even Israel asserts its right to exist.

The isue is legitimacy. Israel is a legitimate state. As such, it has rights in international law, rights that non- state entities do not have.

You are ignoring the change re the ancient "might is right" reality being the basis for international relations, when states voluntarily joined the UN in 1945.

Israel exists. The claim of its right to exist was popularised in the 1950s and readily used rhetorically in the West.

Yes, it also means that it should abide by international law as well.

Kurdistan is not a state.

No it does not. The UN is barely relevant. That's why states managed to exist prior to the UN.
