That would be a mistake, there are plenty within his base that hate her as much as Epstein, even more because she's a woman.

Pardoning her will always be as bad as pardoning Epstein.

It's a no win situation he's got himself in.

It's almost lucky for him that his health will give him a get out of jail free card.

That's how a sane person looks at it, like you and I. But it's not how he looks at it. He see's buying her compliance as a win because in his mind, it will make the whole thing go away - "look, she has said I did nothing wrong and I am completely innocent. Witch hunt!!!". That's what he would say. You and I both know it won't be the truth, but he won't care.
