Victoria government offers a million dollars for his arrest and in the next media announcement warning bounty hunters to stay away?

Victoria government works in mysterious ways?

“ Police have warned would-be bounty hunters to stay away from the search for accused police killer Dezi Freeman after a $1 million reward was posted for information leading to the fugitive’s arrest.”

The possibility of bounty hunters is remote, anyone who fancied that would need to be armed and that is against the law , so the warning is not out of place.

It's like the wild West when the posse was sent out to get the bad guy.    Smiley

What is the meaning of posse?

A posse is group of people who help the police force when necessary.
In a classic Western movie, when the sheriff gathers together a posse,
its members usually work to find and arrest the bad guys.
The classic image of a posse is from the Old West,
of a group of armed cowboys on horses, in pursuit of an outlaw.

"The term "posse comitatus" is derived from Late Latin, meaning "power of the county". It originates from the medieval common law of England, where it referred to the authority of a sheriff to assemble a group of citizens to enforce the law and maintain public order. "

... everyone considered it... the power of the county... remember that I am sworn not to fight unless in absolute self-defence... there are reasons for that...

I feel there's a message in here somewhere.. perhaps many wheres ...

You don’t need to present his head to claim the million.
Just forward his location .

Anyone train in tactical reconnaissance is capable of doing that with nothing more than a iPhone and binoculars.

The police are obviously looking in all the wrong places/states?

Exactly! Infra red binoculars (for night viewing) and an iPhone with good satellite coverage.
Dress a bit drungy/hippy and have a half empty bottle of plonk hanging in your coat pocket.
Who’d think you were a threat looking to line your pockets with one mil.

Anyhow… to flush him out…I’m thinking that this reward was aimed at helping to have a change of mind for anyone that’s harbouring him.
He’s probably in their hidden underground bunker, with air tubes going into hollow tree trunks to camouflage them.

So someone is keeping him hidden in their own place, and maybe both are watching the news with this $1 million reward announced… I’m sure Dezi would give a quick nervous side glance at his friend.

BTW… I have infra red night viewer binoculars… everything is green at night, eyeballs of animals or humans are like two little glow balls.

That was the origin of the Mafia in Sicily - originally founded on a real need to protect the ordinary people from predatory overlords and land-holders and such (remember that many Crusaders staked a claim in Sicily along the way, too, and imposed their rule and rules by the sword) .... the original Mafia was a kind of 'Antifa' who rose out of the sidewalks to oppose wrong - not that I'm saying that 'antifairies' actually do that - they are the problem not the solution ... did the required deed and then vanished again into the sea of fish swimming in the population current... the original Mafia was a kind of grass-roots revolutionary or insurrection movement, but was hijacked and perverted into criminal overlordship instead.

Remember also how the IRA took over from the London criminal underworld (London having a rather large Irish transplant population etc at the time) by literally bumping off criminal king-pins and 'restoring' the order that the police and courts apparently could not create (living comfortably with it as they were - who cares much if a scrote takes apart another scrote?), thus establishing the IRA as being the true upholders of law and order - same as in Derry etc.... for political advantage ...

These were People Power of a different kind to what we are seeing here at the moment, but sadly - in both cases - hijacked for political purposes and self-advancement...

I have long considered that what this country needs is a dedicated corps of soul-less assassins to wreak right and vengeance on the wrongdoers of ALL kinds... and possibly expanding into the international arena.... but such a thing is a dream and more suited to novels and films....

"The Mah Rung moved in, then moved out... two days later Victorian police found Dezi's body staked to a tree..... not a single trace of evidence to be found anywhere..... and the people spoke darkly of the spirits of the bush .... mysterious lights on the mountains" .....

The police have warned off going into the search area, going against their advice could easily be construed as obstruction.
Not only that but the police search parties are well armed and, no doubt, a bit keyed up.

Grappler,

Not realistic,   ....and a very dangerous 'ideal', for anyone to try to foster, imo.

Men are corrupt,   ....all men are innately corrupt,
'in their bones' !

QUESTION;
If such a corps was formed.......
what would or could, constrain such a group, and compel such a group, to "wreak right" only,
and not oppression ?

What could prevent the strongest among them,
from enforcing their own [corrupted] will ?

Surely, eventually, such a group would 'resort' to fighting among themselves ?
.....seeking to enact, their own [individual, evil] 'dictates'.

Ego's.

.

and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Great men are almost always bad men."

But Yadda - it's like the wild West now -
3 cops gunned down in broad daylight - 2 of them dead.

How can it be solved?

It’s nowhere near the Wild West, for very obvious reasons.

THE PROBLEM OF   RAMPANT   CRIME IN OUR SOCIETY......

rampant = = flourishing or spreading unchecked.

Easy bobby.

Love God, and love his law [of righteousness].

I'm serious.

Psalms 40:8
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Amos 5:14
Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live:
and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.
15  Hate the evil, and love the good,
and establish judgment in the gate......

.

Quote:

Just for one issue, in Australia today.....why do our elected  bureaucrats and our 'representatives' refuse to permanently remove, violent criminals from our communities ?

WHAT SHOULD BE DONE.....
De-bar and replace the soft-cock judges.

Introduce and pass, 'serious offender laws' [in our parliaments]......e.g. after a second [serious offence] conviction, the next sentence becomes an 'iron-clad' 20 years 'inside'.

Build more prisons, to 'accommodate' violent career criminals......and to be able to permanently remove them from our cities and in our suburbs and towns.

.

Yadda said somewhere....
Quote:

I come back to my argument about the wisdom, of assuming, in this PC world, that it is ok for 'sheep' and 'wolves' to share the same 'meadow'.

The opinion of many, is that it is OK.

I disagree.

I say that 'sheep' and 'wolves' need to be separated.

'Wolves' in the 'meadow' are not going to respect the right of 'sheep'.....to not be accosted or killed, by the 'wolves'.
