Oh wow, that’s scary. That poor old bloke getting picked on. And he has never met Desi and thinks he’s a dickhead.
So why aren’t the police force getting more information out of his wife and teen kid?

The wife and kids are innocent -
they are victims of that man.
What future have they got now?

A much better one, seeing as their husband and father will no longer be in their lives.

He'll either be dead or in prison.

It's a big win for them.

Or else he won’t be found and the wife has to wait out the tlme till he’s legally declared dead and all the stress that goes with that.

The kids need a dad who works hard and brings in the money
they'll need to get a good start in life -
support them through university or a trade etc.
Even to provide good guidance and counselling.
His wife will be lonely and not have the support she'll need.
The whole situation is a disaster for his family
and everyone else's family -
the loved ones of the victims who were murdered.
Who will look after them?

Get with it Bobby,
We have Social Security in Australia and the families of the murdered police will also get support from the Police Association of Victoria.

A few pennies from social security does not replace a dead provider for their family.

How do you know he was the "provider"?   Undecided

He's an insane deadbeat.

The most likely scenario is that his wife works full-time while he stays home and plays with his guns.

You have trouble with comprehension.

The whole situation is a disaster for his family
and everyone else's family
the loved ones of the victims who were murdered.

- in other words - the families of the 2 cops who died.

I have noticed something rather disturbing in all the media coverage and general commentary around this incident.  A man who has allegedly killed two policemen, wounded a third and is on the run with their weapons, instaed of being villified is getting a surprising amount of sympathy from a surprisingly large number of people.

The conclusion here seems to be that the state of Victoria is so broken that its government and agencies like the police are now seen as enemies of the people rather than their servants by increasing numbers fed up with the way the place has been run by the Andrews and Allan governments.  The emphasis on the 'sovereign citizen' aspects of Freemans lifestyle and the heavy handed treatment given to a man mistakenly thought to be an associate have only reinforced the beliefs of those who already see the government as the enemy.   Huh

Now the police put out a $1 million dollar reward for his capture.
I wondered how long it would take before they did that.
Gosh maybe we could form our own possie and go find him for that reward. As long as we look like normal non police folk I’m sure we’d spot him  Grin
Just dress up a bit hippy. Undercover cops should take that as a good clue/hint.  Smiley

I think he had some help early on and is now well outside the search area.

Yep.

That's the other plausible possibility.

Hopefully the police are keeping an eye on all known SovCits all over the country.

Well - I'd suggest they take away any possible ladders and such and then nuke every site - the only way to be sure...

Disappeared as neatly as the Port Arthur shooters....

https://www.smh.com.au/national/victoria/police-set-1-million-reward-over-captur...

Victoria government offers a million dollars for his arrest and in the next media announcement warning bounty hunters to stay away?

Victoria government works in mysterious ways?

“ Police have warned would-be bounty hunters to stay away from the search for accused police killer Dezi Freeman after a $1 million reward was posted for information leading to the fugitive’s arrest.”
