People are very confident in the government and economy, the border is safe, prices are coming down, more and more jobs are being created, no tax on overtime or tips, this is terrible news for lefties.
If you have decent well paying job
or you're trying to run a business you should do alright in the USA.
Provided nothing in their supply chain is disrupted by tariffs, border closures, or the deportation of individuals who are lawfully in the US but still navigating the residency process.
Provided they weren't counting on a tax cut and have the liquidity to absorb the hikes now hitting under the BBB.
Provided they can stomach ballooning medical costs and insurance premiums, obligations they wear as employers, while healthcare providers shut down under sweeping cuts, further tilting the already dysfunctional supply-demand balance. Let's not forget the Biden-era executive orders that curbed health and medicine prices were casually dismantled by Trump.
Provided, too, that their target markets remain magically untouched by the economic and geopolitical convulsions pouring out of the White House, then yes, perhaps they'll be fine.
Maybe.
But that's a cascade of provisos, and the system is already straining at the seams.
Now that Trump is threatening to inflame a war with Russia merely to redirect attention from the Epstein files, even the most resilient individuals and businesses, those with deep reserves and meticulous foresight, can't survive indefinitely in a climate dictated by a President with no comprehension of consequence and no interest in the public good, provided the grift continues yielding dividends.
The job losses are merely the canary in the coal mine.
