Yeah, ambulance ramping and the general state of the health system is on the front page of today's The West Australian and also on pages 4 and 5.

WA Health director-general Shirley Bowen:

"This year's flu season had been much worse than predicted and the State's low vaccination rate had not helped".

Well, who's fault is that (apart from the antivaxxers)? Maybe the State government's half hearted "Don't Assume You're Immune" vaccination advertising campaign had a lot to do with it? Especially since they used the same ads as last year and, once again, not a word was said about Covid which is still at least 5 times more deadly than the flu.

"WA's ageing population was another factor, resulting in sicker patients needing more intensive care for longer".

"The thing that wasn't predicted is the effect COVID would have on this group of people".

Bullshit. They knew exactly what would happen when Covid was let rip here in early 2022. They were warned about it enough times but chose to ignore it. Same as their BS lie about the elderly and other vulnerable people being protected.

That's why they're too afraid to even say the C(ovid) word anymore. And the M(ask) word too, of course.

I wonder if Dr Bowen can remember back to 2020 and 2021 when Australia was pretty much flu and Covid free and what the reason was for that?
