Good at this, isn't he?
Couldn't answer the question.
My error. Now you tell us why Republicans, who's name indicates a preference for a constitutional republic, would be trying to rig a constitutional election.
Steve Bannon's explained the entire process. The post-Watergate reforms were so unfair, he says. The Ethics in Government Act, the Presidential Records Act, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, the Hughes-Ryan Amendment to the Foreign Assistance Act, and last but by no means least, the amendments to the Federal Election Campaign Act.
These laws aim to enhance the Constitution and ensure a clear separation of powers. A prez, it is held, is supposed to administer the laws of elected representatives in Congress. A prez is not a king, he/she is a humble servant who pledges to honour and uphold the Constitution. Sloppy Steve wants to turn the entire constitution on its head, having the prez rule over both elected houses and the people themselves.
It's all a bit of fun. Sloppy says he's really right wing - far more than DL, who stands in the middle. Yes, according to Sloppy, DL is a
centrist, with the wisdom of Solomon.
That's
King Solomon. I kid you not, Sloppy Steve said all this. The old boy thought it was so good, he posted the interview. Sloppy wants elections rigged, loyalists appointed, the entire federal public service replaced, and the Constitution overturned.
Sloppy, you see, is a constitutional conservative. He wants to tear the whole thing down. He doesn't want the Constitution rewritten, no. That would require 75% of the house and Senate - way too ambitious, even for someone as cunning as Sloppy Steve. He just wants it re-
interpreted for a new generation. For Sloppy, that means you can just make stuff up and do whatever you want.
Redraw electoral boundaries, stop certain people voting, chuck out votes you don't like. For Steve, all is fair in love and war. Steve says this
is a war. Sloppy Steve is fighting against the majority of Americans who believe in free and fair elections. If you don't like the result, Steve says, just make something up. Like his war metaphor, Steve also uses the term
coup. And yes, if that doesn't work, Sloppy Steve says it's time for a real war to sort this out once and for all.
If Americans don't like it, they can pick a side and fight for real.
So I'm curious. What do you think of Steve's plan? He used to be your DL's campaign manager and senior advisor. These things are currently being planned as we speak.
Can you answer the question?
