It should not be for judges to decide when a political protest is justified. The decision to close the Sydney Harbour Bridge to facilitate this protest is a political decision and should be made by elected and accountable ministers - who as it happens, think the march should not go ahead.

We are on a slippery slope when unelected judges start making political judgments.

According to organisers Palestine Action Group the protest will begin at York and Grosvenor streets at 1:30pm with demonstrators then crossing the bridge and finishing up their march at Bradfield Park, North Sydney.

Organisers believe over 50,000 people could attend the protest.

Conditions are set to stay soggy and wet with 10 to 35mm of showers forecasted by the Bureau of Meteorology.

Police are urging commuters to steer clear of the CBD completely, and to expect severe traffic delays with the protest not only set to impact the bridge but causing a flow on effect throughout the entire public transport and road network.

Embattled Macquarie University academic Randa Abdel-Fattah are among keynote speakers, alongside Greens senator Mehreen Faruqi, at the pro-Palestine protest march across the Sydney Harbour Bridge later on Sunday.

It will be one of Dr Abdel-Fattah’s highest-profile public appearances since the Australian Research Council suspended her research grant and her employers began an independent investigation after The Australian revealed she had bragged about bending research rules.

The organisers of Sunday’s protest said in a social media post that Dr Abdel-Fattah and Senator Faruqi would be among the “featured speakers” for the march.

Others included republican movement leader Craig Foster, Maritime Union leader Paul Keating, ‘Freedom flotilla’ – on which activist Greta Thunberg and others sailed to Israel only to be deported – activist Tania Safi, and “justice warrior”, protest organiser Josh Lees and Amal Naser.

Earlier this year, Education Minister Jason Clare ordered an investigation of Dr Abdel-Fattah’s $870,269 taxpayer-funded research grant about the “hidden history” of “Arab/Muslim Australian social movements since the 1970s”.

Wow.
Way to shoot yourself in the foot by the organizers.

A green alderman in Brisbane organized 100 cyclists to lay down on the road outside the mater children's hospital to protest cars and emissions.

Some kid in an ambulance got delayed getting to casualty.

The community won't cop these selfish protestors.

They probably will lose support over this sort of rubbish.

Why are the left so selfish 😭😭

Hamas releases video of starving hostage digging his own grave

The family of an Israeli hostage held in Gaza for almost 22 months says he has just “a few days left to live,” after Hamas released a chilling video of the young man digging his own grave.

Evyatar David is a “living skeleton” said the David family after they gave permission for the video of their 24-year-old son to be published.

In the video, the young musician kidnapped from the Nova musical festival on October 7 2023, is first seen sitting on a mattress in a tunnel, crossing off dates on a calendar drawn on sheets of paper and detailing when he has eaten – and when he has starved. The camera moves on to show him digging a hole that he says he fears is his grave.

“I haven’t eaten for a few days in a row,” Mr David says in the video.

And the picture of the starving gazan child turned out to be a child with cystic fibrosis who the Israelis had sent to Italy for specialist care.

Such wonderful people the Israelis.

Leader of the Palestine Action group Nasser Mashni was jailed for kidnapping and bashing a 15 year old kid.

He is the one who sells those pins with Palestine and Aboriginal flags Politicians like Lidia and Fatima wear.
They claim to oppose colonisation yet they want to eradicate Israel and colonise it into an Islamic shithole

Unless you can find a way to earn a minimum of $300000 a year in Australia you’re screwed.

Don’t even think about being able to afford children at that  bare minimum threshold.
