There's only one thing I thank Rugby Union for - it showed me where I really belonged ......

in the backs .... not busting a gut playing breakaway or second row.

When I was 17, the reserve grade coach at Gatton College said to me would I like to have a run outside centre when he'd given my second row possie to one of his arse licker mates....

I said sure ..... had a ball, scored a try & set one up

never went in a forward pack again.

I played Rugby League in the centres (only played a bit of Union whilst at College & Boarding school) after that in an under 18 side back in my home town the following year 1974 - 1975 I went into A GRADE in the centres but ended up on the left wing.

Played until 1985 on the wing or on occasion to fill in at centre. Bit of reserve grade on and off til 1991.

I bet you have some lifelong aches/pains from such a physically tough sport!

Nice be among fellow supporters of the “ world game “.

I believe for many reasons and particularly people ,Rugby in Australia is basically like a fish out of water flapping around starving for oxygen.

To be blunt-  no confidence in the current management of rugby in Australia.

They continue to destroy the game via mismanagement.

A Saudi funded rebel game that completely replaces the current Australian management has to be worth backing?

I’m shocked too hear that they are willing to pay Nathan Clearly 8 million for a three year contract but can only see smart business in shopping around to buy cash strapped NRL clubs for over $200 million.

Why build a club from the ground up when you can just buy South’s or the Titans?

Game they play in Heaven?  I debuted in first grade at eighteen and was trashed by what felt like the entire University forward pack  .... broken collar bone...

Go the Wallabies against Lions.... ROOOARRR!!

Our best Rugby players are in the League -
that's why we are losing against the Lions playing Union.

The Wallabies need to find their balls again and remember what it is to WIN!  A few years back I think John Eales said they had forgotten how to win... same as Joey said the Knights had forgotten how to win.... all the talent and skill is right there... go for it!!

Nahh - the Aussies were playing like pansies -

are you gunna watch it on Saturday night - channel 9  ?

I’m working but it’s on the radio. I always prefer the radio. Living along time without a Tv and I think radio is a better choice.
Obviously nothing is better than being at the game.
I try never to miss a test.
I live in hope one day the wallabies might win a game!!!

6-5 Wallabies after 19 minutes.

I loved playing breakaway - never that big but fast and stubborn - my son - about four inches taller and much wider than I am - played the same position... but I played mostly backs and was a fullback a lot.

TRY at 23.10... first half... Wallabies 11-5

Lynaghs are related to my grandmother's family - we're related to everyone.

They got robbed by that Frog referee.

Last Lions try should have been disallowed.

Bullshit -
the Aussies only made 3 points in the entire 2nd half - they were hopeless.

The view from the box was that 'contact with the head of the defending player' rendered this an illegal move and therefore No Try.

You wouldn't know shyte from clay.

The decision by referees not to penalise Jac Morgan for the high cleanout on Carlo Tizzano is what cost the Wallabies the series.

It doesn't matter what points they made in the 2nd half - they were defending the lead they won in the first half.

Morgan clearly hit into the head&neck of Tizzano.

I watched it carefully over 5 times -
there was no penalty contravention.
I agree with the ref.

I’ve since reviewed it and had a “ expert “ ( bloody New Zealand mate) watch it with me and I agree with both Bobby and the ref.

There was no penalty in that.
The lions own the series fair 😭

We don’t need a new coach or new players we need a much better management structure at the top and run by the Saudi Arabia Rebel league to properly fund both the clubs, players and grassroots rugby too advance Rugby in Australia.

I really enjoy rugby, then NFL and league.

With management with integrity and hundreds of millions to spend Rugby could totally knock NRL off the 2nd spot of most popular football in Australia.

AFL is and always will be the most popular.

Nah - high contact with the defending player to create a lower defence is gamesmanship - and should have been penalised.

Any try that followed should have been neutered as effectively as an OzPol progressive or some progressive politician or staff ..
