You know it says KIA, right? Capital letters.

I sometimes see a car on the road, driving by, and I think… I like that car…. What is it? And the creative licence with logos is hard to make out without really having a close look.
Recently I saw why the logo for Hyundai was as it is… to depict 2 men shaking hands on a deal.

The letter H leans right, which suggests movement into the future, but that's just the beginning: The logo loosely resembles two silhouettes shaking hands. This is a nod to Hyundai's commitment to customer service and teamwork. It also represents a salesperson reaching a deal with a customer.

Thanks Sophia.

I've driven a Hyundai Getz for the past 14 years and I've never noticed that.

Cool

I don't think that's his hand being shaken.

No, just assuming that it is a styled N.

They really had to do something as KIA commonly  means “killed in action’’.

It still spells Kia to me.

Kia Tasman looks OK - the 2.5 ltr turbo diesel would be my pick of motor.

I blew up my trusty old spare run around last year ( a 15 year old toyota Echo with 300,000 klm on the clock)

Apparently 1500 cc engines dont like towing trailers up steep hills on 40 deg c days with the aircon running flat out
Who would have thunk?

But I still needed a run around so as to keep the $X$ and the missus new car away from  the idiot drivers of the Central Coast all the time.

So I founded a little KIA Cerato for a stupid price, less that $3000.00.
2008 model with less than 150,000 klm on the dial.

I was dubious at first myself, why so cheap.
I fixed the loose fan belt, replaced the washer motor, Changed the plugs, changed the fuel filyter (it was filthy) and replaced a couple of defective switches on the dash and door.

All up I spent about $200.00 on getting it working pwerfectly again.
I have since done over 65,000 on it and it runs like a dream.
Everything works perfectly (except the door locks which have a mind of their own).

I was going to get rid of it when I retired, but driving a manual has been so much fun, Im thinking of keeping it.
Its no Rolls royce, hasnt got the power of a Farrari, but it goes well, gets 7 l/100 klm and handles far better than i would have expected.

I would even consider buying a new KIA when we are past the caravan travelling days and I get rid of the 4x4.
