Homelessness increase for women and girls 😞
Jul 22nd, 2025 at 1:48pm

How can we, Australia, have allowed this to happen?

How is this acceptable?

How can se sit here silently and throw our women and young girls to the curb?

Quote:
Homelessness rates, particularly for women and girls, have worsened under the Albanese government's first term due to service underfunding and a lack of affordable housing, according to the industry peak body.

The issue has reached its "worst levels in living memory", Homelessness Australia said, with analysis of data from homelessness services across the country showing women and girls fleeing domestic violence are the most affected.

The number of people accessing homelessness services each month has increased by 10 per cent since Labor was elected in May 2022, but for women and girls, the increase has been by 14 per cent, the data shows.

Despite the government's attempted focus on the housing crisis in its first term, Homelessness Australia's chief executive Kate Colvin said commitments made to social housing have not hit the mark and are condemning vulnerable families to homelessness.

"Even with those commitments, the proportion of social housing is still going to continue to fall," she said.

"We need government to do a lot more.

"This is a huge problem."

It's all about 'breaking' the Egalitarian way of Australia into the extremism of mass poverty and uber rich.
It's the only way the Media Left can jilt the Union Jack off the Flag and out of Politics. If you think the flood of foreigners is bad now. You watch the world flood in during World War. Millions!

We've had 222+ years to get ahead here, so it's going to be survival of the competitive. You want Australia, then you gotta mass breed for it and financially boom with it.
Russia is falling. Australia now has to replace it as the 'east'.

Victorian Premier boasts about giving Muslim immigrant brand new apartment

“Yes, very good area, my whole family here, I’m so happy,” Hulya responded in broken English, and then confirmed she had “quite a few grandchildren” living nearby.

“We’re delivering more social homes in Pascoe Vale. For residents like Hulya, it means a place to call home close to her family, services and public transport,” Ms Allan wrote on X.

But irritated Australians questioned why social housing was being given to immigrants while locals struggled to find rentals due to the mass migration-fuelled housing crisis, with many forced into homelessness.

“Housing for immigrants and tents for Aussies,” wrote popular political commentator Lauryn Bahen.

“Everyone is looked after except multi-generational Australians,” wrote another Aussie.

“This pisses me off. I’m smacking sick to death of the priority wait list being jumped by new arrivals. I have clients who have been homeless for years as a result of family violence who cannot get housing,” said a third irate X user.

“Was she on the priority list for a govt housing? I heard she has a lot of family nearby, why couldn’t they provide a place for her to stay if they are a close-knit family?” read another popular comment.

Jacinta Allen can give a brand new 2 bedroom social housing apartment to a single muslim woman immigrant who has not paid one cent into the Australian economy.  And who never will for that matter.  And I suppose she's been fast tracked onto an Australian benefit as well.

Albanese has brought in 1.15 million immigrants into Australia since taking power and that is the highest number ever in a single term of government. A 63% increase on the previous record and more migrants than the entire Hawke/Keating years - which lasted five times longer.

The vast majority of these immigrants move into Sydney or Melbourne - so is it any surprise that rentals were swamped with people seeking housing?

Blind Freddy could see this would be the result.  But Albo doesn't care because most of those immigrants and their extended families will vote for him.

Yet so many Australians who have worked hard and paid taxes for most of their lives now find themselves homeless. I am sure they will be very happy for Hulya.

Yeah and I don't give a flying fig about him caring about me - I'm fine - I just want to make sure my grandkids will be fine in the future.  But I don't really see much of a future with Labor committed to bringing in half of the Middle East and Africa!   Angry

The more Hulya's Albo brings in, the more ordinary Aussies slide back down the waiting lists.

From:  News.com
Aidan Devine

Australia has recorded another month of record long-term overseas arrivals – fresh off the back of announcements that the country is falling further behind critical housing requirements for the coming years.

IPA deputy executive director David Wild said recent migration was “excessive” and was “exacerbating the housing and rental crises being experienced by Australians and new migrants alike”.

“Migration has played a significant role in pummelling Australia’s economic productivity (and) creating extended periods of negative per capita economic growth,” Mr Wild said.

Mr Wild’s comments have followed leaked Treasury advice showing the federal government’s National Housing Accord target of building 1.2 million homes between 2024 and 2029 will not be met.

“Despite the fact that the federal government has failed to deliver on a single target under its Accord, it continues to ramp up migration intakes, at a time when the nation is simply not building the houses it needs to accommodate a rapidly rising population,” Mr Wild said.

https://www.news.com.au/finance/real-estate/sydney-nsw/overseas-arrivals-into-au...

And whilst woke lefturds like Jacinta Allen continue to anger and frustrate Australian citizens who cannot find affordable housing due to Labor fast tracking recent immigrants into depleted housing stocks, foreign nationals from the Middle East and elsewhere will continue to pour into the country in the expectation they will be favourably treated over Aussie citizens.

We need to know exactly what proportion of new and existing social housing has been allocated to new arrivals whilst Australians and their children languish on ever increasing waiting lists for up to 15 years.   Angry

Does anyone think Susso Layo cares?

Our politicians live in bubbles that one day will burst because of our growing mistrust.

I had a classic moment with a homeless fellow Australian today.

I was in a carpark second level of Townsville shopping centre.

I had previously noticed him trying sleep upright on the fire stairs.

I had an issue with the hire car alarm and i couldn’t shut it up.

Eventually I disconnect the battery  Grin

It was very loud, very embarrassing and pretty funny.

The same homeless Ausssie  brother rock next to me and asked “ is this your car alarm “?

I was speechless then he said “ it’s a bloody good one”🤣

I cracked up laughing and so did he .

Maybe you had to be there but we both laughed big time 😎

It was a humanity moment you don’t often find or will ever forget.

Unless you can find a way to earn a minimum of $300000 a year in Australia you’re screwed.

Don’t even think about being able to afford children at that  bare minimum threshold.

Disproportionate Impact on Vulnerable Groups,

Women and girls, particularly those escaping domestic and family violence (DFV), are among the hardest hit by this housing crunch.

In 2023–24, specialist homelessness services (SHS) assisted 109,500 people affected by DFV, mostly women and children, but 34,360 missed out on emergency accommodation, and 76,688 couldn’t secure long-term housing.

The 14% rise in women and girls accessing SHS since May 2022 reflects how housing scarcity, worsened by migration-driven demand, leaves them stuck in unsafe situations, couch surfing, or sleeping rough.

Also have a look at the latest statistics on divorce rates that have dropped.

Women are seeing this rise in homelessness among women and girls and prefer being in an unhappy, unhealthy relationship and even violent rather than living on the street.

WTF sort of society are we living in?

Why are women who are comfortable with a roof over their heads staying silent?

Why are men who beat their chest pretending to be protector of women staying silent?

No Africans and mussos where I live!  My grandkids live in the Blue Mountains and that's a predominantly white Anglo society up there.  A granddaughter lives in Tasmania so ditto for her.  But my youngest grandson lives on the North Shore - OMG have you ever been to Chatswood?  It's more like being in Hong Kong - everyone is Chinese and we are definitely outnumbered there ten to one! The shops, the food courts, most of the businesses, doctors, dentists, everything is Chinese.

So that grandson will be going to school with Chinese students - he already has Chinese friends at preschool.  In fact basically all the kids at preschool are Chinese as are the teachers.  But son and DIL say those kids are so much better behaved and the parents have higher expectations about studying and achieving.
