Quote:“We’re delivering more social homes in Pascoe Vale. For residents like Hulya, it means a place to call home close to her family, services and public transport,” Ms Allan wrote on X.
But irritated Australians questioned why social housing was being given to immigrants while locals struggled to find rentals due to the mass migration-fuelled housing crisis, with many forced into homelessness.
“Housing for immigrants and tents for Aussies,” wrote popular political commentator Lauryn Bahen.
“Everyone is looked after except multi-generational Australians,” wrote another Aussie.
“This pisses me off. I’m smacking sick to death of the priority wait list being jumped by new arrivals. I have clients who have been homeless for years as a result of family violence who cannot get housing,” said a third irate X user.
“Was she on the priority list for a govt housing? I heard she has a lot of family nearby, why couldn’t they provide a place for her to stay if they are a close-knit family?” read another popular comment.
Jacinta Allen can give a brand new 2 bedroom social housing apartment to a single muslim woman immigrant who has not paid one cent into the Australian economy. And who never will for that matter. And I suppose she's been fast tracked onto an Australian benefit as well.
Albanese has brought in 1.15 million immigrants into Australia since taking power and that is the highest number ever in a single term of government. A 63% increase on the previous record and more migrants than the entire Hawke/Keating years - which lasted five times longer.
The vast majority of these immigrants move into Sydney or Melbourne - so is it any surprise that rentals were swamped with people seeking housing?
Blind Freddy could see this would be the result. But Albo doesn't care because most of those immigrants and their extended families will vote for him.
Yet so many Australians who have worked hard and paid taxes for most of their lives now find themselves homeless. I am sure they will be very happy for Hulya.
“Yes, very good area, my whole family here, I’m so happy,” Hulya responded in broken English, and then confirmed she had “quite a few grandchildren” living nearby.https://x.com/NoticerNews/status/1942870852976193959 The more Hulya's Albo brings in, the more ordinary Aussies slide back down the waiting lists.

Australia has recorded another month of record long-term overseas arrivals – fresh off the back of announcements that the country is falling further behind critical housing requirements for the coming years.
IPA deputy executive director David Wild said recent migration was “excessive” and was “exacerbating the housing and rental crises being experienced by Australians and new migrants alike”.
“Migration has played a significant role in pummelling Australia’s economic productivity (and) creating extended periods of negative per capita economic growth,” Mr Wild said.
Mr Wild’s comments have followed leaked Treasury advice showing the federal government’s National Housing Accord target of building 1.2 million homes between 2024 and 2029 will not be met.
“Despite the fact that the federal government has failed to deliver on a single target under its Accord, it continues to ramp up migration intakes, at a time when the nation is simply not building the houses it needs to accommodate a rapidly rising population,” Mr Wild said.

We need to know
exactly what proportion of new and existing social housing has been allocated to new arrivals whilst Australians and their children languish on ever increasing waiting lists for up to 15 years.
