Because the cartilage in joints is poorly supplied with blood vessels osteoarthritis cannot be prevented.
Osteoporosis can. The fads for non-milk “milks” like soy milk, oat milk, nut milks etc mean those who avoid dairy do not absorb the calcium and vitamin D they need for healthy bones. Why drink non–milk “milks?”
To be fashionable. After drinking fake milk for some time, years, if these poseurs drink real milk they tend to get a bit of cramp in the belly the next day. “Lactose intolerant!” they shout.
No, their digestive systems can no longer handle the very large protein molecules in cows milk, casein especially. They will drink goat milk “Has no lactose” they say. Oops, goat milk has 90% of the lactose of cow milk. What goat milk doesn’t have—huge protein molecules.
Osteoporosis has to be the easiest health issue to prevent.
