Can’t say I remember my dogs being idiots.
I remember walking Tiffany to the vet, opening the door to the surgery—and Tiffany turning around to go back home

Just because you are tiny (Tiffy weighed just 2.5kg) does not mean you can’t be feisty. One year the vet, not asking me to hold Tiffany, not injecting into a loose bit of skin between her shoulders just stuck the needle into her side. He got a handful of sharp teeth.
The next year the vet we saw was a young guy built like a refrigerator, looked like a rugby player. While I jeered openly this guy wrapped yards of cloth around Tiffy’s head as a muzzle. While Tiffy could break skin if she really bit that was about it.
No further attempts to muzzle Tiffany occurred.
Demi had some epic battles at the vet. The thing is: the vaccination for heartworm
stings as it is injected.
As I stated before, one time they muzzled Demi—her bite could break skin and then some! Wasn’t enough so treats were provided and Demi ate these
through the muzzle not giving a hoot as to what the vet was doing.
The next year, the last injection, the vet wrapped Demi so she couldn’t offer a defence.
