I don’t post two full videos together but Socks has somewhat similar behavior. If I take her onto the local beach she runs to pick up a rock—has to pick it up sideways, guess her canines stop her picking the rock up normally, then RUNS with the rock in her mouth with me blanching at the thought of the danger the rock poses to her beautiful white sharp teeth!

The golden retriever in this movie picks up even bigger stones but does not put the whole stone on its mouth. Still huge danger to its teeth tho.

Anybody have a clue why dogs do this dangerous thing?
