Bravo!  Someone else has seen through the bullshit Racist condemnation that, "Boris" posts all the time.  Well done, Aqua.  What a pity though you had to ruin it with your usual condemnation of anybody who feels for the Indigenous Australians' plight and blame their situation on those who have endeavoured to do something about it.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Because what you are doing is the racism of low expectations

Where have I expressed, "my expectations"?  Like "Boris" you make assumptions which are not substantiated by anything I have expressed.  Why do you make such assumptions?  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Do you think Aborigines are a mindless collective whose opinions can be adequately represented by an unelected committee appointed by a bunch of white men in Canberra?

I don't think they are. My solution is not to treat them like a mindless collective, and not to lower my expectations of people just because they are black.

What about you Brian?

June 30, 2022, they represented 32% of the prison population while making up only 3.8% of the general population.

13% child Homicides

53% missing children

Aboriginal Australians in the Criminal Justice System is a matter of long-standing and justified public concern. Latest figures indicate that the Aboriginal imprisonment rate in NSW is nearly 10 times the non-Aboriginal imprisonment rate (Australian Bureau of Statistics 2020).

Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women experience violence at significantly higher rates than non-Indigenous women, with some figures indicating rates up to 34 times higher. This includes physical, sexual, and emotional violence, as well as homicide. Family violence is a major driver of negative health outcomes and the removal of children into out-of-home care.

My expectations are that Indigenous Australians are human beings, with aspirations and hopes, who have largely been betrayed by White Governments who'd like them to go away and a White society indifferent to their problems who blame them for their plight.  I have known Indigenous Australians all my life, some bad, most good who feel they have been forgotten about by most White Australians.  White Australians like Gnads, Soren, and "Boris" who use them as things to beat the rest of us who care about them and their plight.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Individually, basically none.  Collectively, basically anything demanded by superior Whites who feel they should be pseudo Whites rather than Indigenous Australians who are different to the White society.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Why do you assume the majority break the law?  Perhaps if they were taught what the law actually means they'd obey it.  It seems there is something lacking there in your thinking, like an assumption that everybody automatically understands and accepts what the law demands of everybody without finding out if they know what it means to everybody.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... "has happened" past tense?

Is happening today and will happen tomorrow.

Nothing is making it better.

It is what it is - Radical Acceptance.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's quote, "Human nature, if it changes at all, changes not much faster than the geological face of the earth," emphasizes the idea that human nature is incredibly slow to change. He suggests that the core characteristics and tendencies of humanity remain relatively constant over long periods, much like the slow, gradual changes in the Earth's landscape. This quote highlights the enduring nature of both good and bad impulses within individuals and societies.
