Israel has commenced what they term a "preemptive strike" against Iranian nuclear sites.

Explosions heard around Tehran.

Israel says this will not just be one day of strikes.

It is being reported a number of top officials in Iran have been "eliminated".

In an address to the country, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was at a “decisive point” in its history and was forced to act to stop Iran from producing a nuclear weapon “in a very short time.”

“Our brave pilots are attacking a large number of targets across Iran,” Mr Netanyahu said, adding the targets were: “Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, Iran’s ballistic missile factories, and Iran’s military capabilities.”

The Israeli military official said Iran had been secretly working to build a nuclear weapon.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said he had declared a state of emergency because Jerusalem expected an “immediate” retaliatory attack from Iran.

“Following the State of Israel’s pre-emptive strike against Iran, a missile and drone attack against the State of Israel and its civilian population is expected in the immediate future,” Mr Katz said in a statement.

He said he had signed “a special order, according to which a special state of emergency will be imposed in the home front throughout the entire State of Israel.”


The IDF’s Home Front Command also warned of a “significant” attack from Iran, as it banned all educational activities, gatherings, and workplaces.

Home Front Command’s Tzvika Tessler told Channel 12 news Iran could strike with “heavy missiles” that could reach anywhere in the country.

I must say, Mossad is a very effective organisation.

Looks like Israel is doing all the work for the major powers who seem to have gone into their shells following the "Operation Iraqi Freedom" fiasco.   

People are saying Israel cannot get to the two main enrichment facilities which are deep underground with the current weapons they have. This might be true.

But there is another reality.

The only way to stop Iran is by stopping Iran.

The Iranian regime is very weak at the moment. Hezbollah is not the force it used to be. Hamas can't do anything and the Houthis are not very effective.

The Assad regime is also gone.

It is on its own with a hostile general public.

This campaign is also about weakening the Iranian regime further.

U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) pledged his support of the attack by Israel on Iran, saying Israel should “keep wiping out Iranian leadership and the nuclear personnel.” He posted his remarks on social media a short time after the news of Israel’s pre-emptive bombing of Iran hit the press.

“Our commitment to Israel must be absolute and I fully support this attack,” Fewtterman wrote on X. “Keep wiping out Iranian leadership and the nuclear personnel.”

He said the U.S. “must” provide the necessary military, intelligence, and weaponry to support the Israeli strike against Iran.
