The selfie yacht DID dock in Israel. After reaching Ashdod they were taken into police custody to “undergo a hearing prior to the issuance of deportation orders”.

Israel is in an armed conflict with Hamas, allowing it to intercept ships it suspected were violating its longstanding blockade of Gaza, which Egypt also enforces.

I doubt they had visas for Israel or Gaza... Shocked

They were intercepted heading for the Israeli blockade of GAZA that has been in place since 2007.

International waters are 12 nautical miles (about 22km) from the coast. At 200km from Gaza they were well within international waters.

Greta was broadcasting her intention to break a legal military blockade of a conflict zone for over a week before the IDF stopped her.

Greta made her intentions clear even gave progress updates from AIS, the IDF didn't break any laws.

They gave her a seat that doesn't recline next to the dunny when they sent her home Grin
