Racist Kids Kill Old Man

Boy and girl sentenced for killing dog walker, 80

Were these kids taught to be racist killers by their parents?

A 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl have been sentenced for killing an 80-year-old man out walking his dog in a park.

Bhim Kohli died the day after he was assaulted in Franklin Park, yards from his home in Braunstone Town, Leicestershire, on 1 September last year.

The boy, who racially abused Mr Kohli before slapping him in the face with a slider shoe, was sentenced to seven years in custody at Leicester Crown Court on Thursday.

The girl, who encouraged the assault and laughed as she filmed it on her phone, was given a youth rehabilitation order of three years and made subject to a six-month curfew. Both were convicted of manslaughter.

The children were sentenced at Leicester crown court, where the judge, Mr Justice Turner, described the assault on Kohli as “wicked” and “a cowardly and violent attack on an elderly man”. He said he was “sure that Mr Kohli did nothing to deserve this” and that the pair had “found this funny, that’s why you were laughing as you did it”.

During the attack, which was described at trial as gratuitous, the boy hurled racist abuse at Kohli while punching and kicking him.

The girl, who was 12 at the time, filmed the assault on her phone and could be heard laughing and encouraging the boy to attack Kohli.

Kohli, who suffered a broken neck and three broken ribs, had been on his daily dog walk in a park near his home in Braunstone Town when the two children accosted him.

There is something here to say they are racist though:
