Israel is, I can assure you. A culturally military nation. It's the future path. Religion is just the victim past. There have been many pushes and shoves by the religious and orthodox zealots to try and force Israel to take what I call negative actions for their selfish whims. But every time it has been rejected and many times, resulted in violent clashes within Israel.
Netanyahu is a Politician, not a Rabbi. Religion does not motivate his decisions, nor does it manipulate the Military. The Military rule. Hence why Netanyahu was given a holiday for defying it.
