I don't think that would count as a spear tackle in rugby.

No it wouldn't.

Bobby needs to make up his mind what side of the fence he should be because
he must have sore balls straddling the fence & having a foot in each camp when it suits him.

OK then - it was sling tackle.   Roll Eyes

Nah it wasn't a sling tackle - he was wrapped up and taken to the ground.

What side would you be on had the bloke been armed & confronting you in the mall & a copper came up behind him and took him to the ground?

Strawman fallacy - he wasn't armed.

It was a murderous "sling tackle" .
It involves grabbing the victim around the arms
so they can't break their fall with their arms.
His head was smashed into the concrete.

No problem with that, I worked with an ex cop and he told me how he went to the aide of an injured person on the road and the injured person who he wanted to help stabbed him. Took away his confidence in meeting people, lost his career, lost his marriage, lost his house. The injured person spent 4 months in jail.

Sometimes I think you may have had a similar experience with concrete. Roll Eyes

Grabbing him around his arms seems OK but slamming him
into the concrete on to his face is wrong.

That is something a Nazi would do.

It was all part of the vicious Govt that Daniel Andrews inflicted upon the citizens here in Victoria.

Many people will never forgive the cops for what they did -
following the wicked orders from despot Dan.
We saw what communism was really like
and the suckers voted for him again after it.

It is interesting to note that our "democratic system" did nothing to stop Daniel Andrews.

The Magistrates, the Judges, the Governor of Victoria,
the police commissioner, the opposition, the doctors,
all jumped on the totalitarian bandwagon.
Nothing was going to stop the Dan.

It shows are fragile and dangerous our communist State has become.

Poorly trained was he? An injured person 'on the road' was able to be close enough to stab (perhaps confused in the darkness as to who was bending down?) This guy was walking around shouting and filming and was grabbed from behind. That should be disabling by arm twist if the cop was trained.

The person that stabbed him was a victim of domestic violence and he was trying to assist her. It was during the day, and yes it was poor training, they had not trained him to leave a wounded person on the road just in case they might stab him.

That's nice. He needed to be trained to approach by assessing the  person/ drunkard/ druggie. Even breathalyser testers outside a car do that. (That is, grab this injured woman and slam her face into the road). (Shoot the sus car-driver).
