Sussan Ley - New Leader
May 18th, 2025 at 7:15am

Very sad news for the new leader.

"Sussan Ley's mother has died days after Ms Ley became leader of the federal Liberal Party."

On top of landing the toughest job in Australian politics she now has to deal with the death of her mother. Challenging, to say the least.

No matter what you think of her politics, you'd have to be feeling for the poor woman today. I certainly am.

My mother died months ago, and I still haven't come to terms with it.

I hope Albo and the media giver her some privacy and adequate time to grieve.

She's an ALP stooge who will wreck the Libs more than they are.

The answer doesn't come in weeks or months or even years for some people. Once my Mum talked to me about the loss of her mother, that was 40 years later. I lost my Mom in 92. It gets better but maybe you never really get over it. What time does is give you less sad memories and more happy recollections.

Wow, 1992 was a long time ago.

She must have been pretty young (?)  Cry

It was my mother's birthday yesterday, and I had a bit of a breakdown.

Made the mistake of watching the new Vince Vaughan movie - Nonnas - which triggered some memories.
