Because he is OK with it 100 % in his own reality, everyone gets sucked into his frame.

Chick's would be lining up to get at the pot belly.

It's a sad thing to say, but having a 'mind' "superior" to other animals works two ways - it's a double-edged sword, and allows poor thinking to over-ride basic instinctual choices ... and who can deny that poor thinking is the current day universal currency?
