Indeed - the ones that turn up are treated better than countless others - special scholarships, preferential appointment in jobs, promotion as a near 'right', special 'courses' where they can become the 'professors' on huge salaries etc, special commissions where they hold all the 'jobs' and whine about Australians and how they are treated - they do pretty well.
Been that way since the heady days of the Liberal party going all lefty on us and inserting 'equal employment opportunity' = Affirmative Action - that dictated that "Preference will be given to Women, those from a non-English Speaking Background, and Aboriginal and Torres Straits Islanders" into the Commonwealth Public Service, Commonwealth Bank, Telstra and all such.
Now that was 1982 ............... forty-three years ago....... so - when TF are they going go declare EQUALITY?
And don't discuss Labor with their 'quota' of 'at least 50% winnable seats must go to women' BS .... pure Fascist anti-democracy Fuhrer Befehlen - I say - you do!! ... or 'industrial relations' or whatever... 'workplace reform'... tax reform - it floods over into all those areas... then throw in special treatment - childcare etc paid for.... which adds to inflation and social and economic divisions.
When are they going to declare equality and that enough is enough?
Truth hurts, doesn't it? So does karma...
You see - I was there. I resigned over the approach to implementation of 'affirmative action' - which should have had a 'sunset clause' on it OR been implemented as simple equal treatment from a designated Day Zero - as well as the harassment of men in the offices that began instantly - especially of any who held a differing view on how it should be done.
Setting it in place with a sunset of five years would have achieved the desired result - installing genuine 'equal treatment' from a specified date would have achieved the result of EQUAL treatment in five years - instead it just goes on and on and on until women etc now occupy all the overpaid fat jobs in the land and it is established as a 'right', special interest groups gain top positions in immigration and so forth, customs, AFP etc - and are often caught being corrupt and preferring their 'own group'.. copping 'baksheesh' or smuggling tobacco or drugs and stuff ... selling secrets from the security services and Defence ......
Absolute Fascist garbage - if they'd included - for example - 'Neo-Nazis' or (Allah forbid) MUSLIMS in their Chosen Ones (they did BTW) - what would have been the outcry? But throw ALL the bones to selected pets and you're all kosher.
Now look at the disintegration of our society and culture that only World War III will bring to an end.
The sheilas are only the most prominent - affirmative action has wrought far greater damage on Australia than too many inept sheilas in top jobs. Why - one just recently got the nudge ...... in NSW ...
The Abos have had their shot - now it's time to front up and do the work or get a Homeland where they can 'do things their way'.
The whole idea has failed - multi-culturalism has failed - it's time to integrate and move forward or 'go you own way' without interfering with the rest.
That's one point on which Dutto should have stood like a man - and let right be done though the Heavens fall!! Cowardly politicians chasing votes from idiots.
