Cancelling Starlink

I need to put aside more for the house and living expenses. I also do not like doing business with a nazi or at least someone who thinks throwing nazi salutes in public is OK.

I am quite near the wireless communications tower and when I moved in I used my phone to connect my computer to the internet.

Not the fastest and dropped out a bit too much but just about acceptable. Read you could set the phone to be always connected so played with the thought of buying an iPhone 6 and using that, maybe connected to the computer by USB cable.

Read a bit more. No iPhone—phones will ALWAYS drop connection!

So got an Optus 4G wireless router/modem. Can put it in window facing wireless tower for max bandwidth. Speed will be acceptable, know that from using my phone for a few weeks. No dropouts.

Changed phone from Amaysim to Optus—not that much of a change—for a few more $$$ saving.

Took over a fricking hour! Salesperson tried to do his job, tried to get me to update my iPhone 11 to the latest, iPhone 16. Wouldn’t have cost much—but I am no longer running a business and he couldn’t really give me any compelling reason to change. iPhone11 it still is. I talked about being deaf in one ear, of tinnitus driving you half mad (yeah yeah, not much further to go but you try imagining hearing just the first two notes of the Dr Who theme for a solid fucking hour!

So bought a bluetooth speaker, position that on the left and play YouTubes in the background, providing some stimulus to the left ear. Might get a hearing aid just to get a decibel or two into that ear and keep the tinnitus at bay.

But then again you are prone to lying so who can believe anything you say.

Trump derangement syndrome
Fareed Zakaria defined the term as "hatred of President Trump so intense that it impairs people's judgment"

Pre moving in, locals a while back voted against 5G because the gossip was : 5G causes cancer. Dumb arse country conservatives.

So it's 4G or Starlink. Micro funding dickhead Musk verses watching non buffering porn. Porn always wins.

So starlink stays until a better option appears.

AIMLESS EXTENTION OF KNOWLEDGE HOWEVER, WHICH IS WHAT I THINK YOU REALLY MEAN BY THE TERM 'CURIOSITY', IS MERELY INEFFICIENCY. I AM DESIGNED TO AVOID INEFFICIENCY.
